به این فکر کنید. آن حرف را در سال ۲۰۱۵ زدم. آن زمان هم تهدید بود و حالا تهدیدی بسیار بزرگتر شده بود، اما دیگر تهدید نیست؛ دستکم نه برای مدت طولانی. ما میخواهیم همینطور بماند. در حالی که به عملیات «خشم حماسی» ادامه میدهیم، بر حفظ جریان انرژی و نفت به سوی جهان هم تمرکز داریم و من اجازه نخواهم داد یک رژیم تروریستی جهان را گروگان بگیرد و بخواهد عرضه نفت جهان را متوقف کند.
و اگر ایران بخواهد چنین کاری بکند، با ضربهای بسیار، بسیار سختتر روبهرو خواهد شد. من آن اهداف آسانی را که کمی پیشتر به آنها اشاره کردم، هدف قرار خواهم داد؛ آنها را چنان سریع میزنیم که دیگر هرگز نتوانند بازیابی شوند، اگر بخواهند چنین بازیای راه بیندازند. بهتر است وارد این بازی نشوند. در بلندمدت، عرضه نفت بدون تهدید کشتیها، پهپادها، موشکها، تهدید هستهای ایران و هر چیز دیگری، بسیار امنتر خواهد بود.
بنابراین، تنگه هرمز امن خواهد ماند. ما کشتیهای زیادی از نیروی دریایی آنجا داریم. بهترین تجهیزات جهان را برای بازرسی مینها در اختیار داریم. باز هم میگویم، بیشتر کشتیهای آنها اکنون در کف دریا هستند. اما اگر لازم شود، آنقدر سخت به آنها ضربه خواهیم زد که برای آنها یا هر کسی که به آنها کمک میکند، دیگر امکان بازیابی آن بخش از جهان وجود نداشته باشد.
