Channel 12 Israel: Trump Says War Could Be Short or Long
The Israeli network “Channel 12” reported, citing Donald Trump, that the U.S. President stated there are several scenarios for ending the confrontation with the Islamic Republic, and this operation could be short or long.
In an exclusive interview with this network, Trump said: “I can make this long and take control of everything, or I can finish it in a few days and tell the Iranians that if you start again in a few years, I’ll see you.”
He claimed that Tehran has come close to an agreement several times and then backed down, which showed him that “they really don’t want to reach an agreement.” Trump also mentioned that while preparing his speech, he asked his team to compile a list of the Islamic Republic's attacks over the past 25 years, adding: “I saw that every month they did something bad, blew something up, and killed someone.”
The U.S. President emphasized that if the United States had not attacked Iran in June, “they would have nuclear weapons now.”
Regarding discussions with Benjamin Netanyahu, he said: “We are on the same wavelength.”
Trump concluded by stating that regardless of how the conflict ends, Iran will face serious difficulties in rebuilding itself, adding: “In any case, it will take several years for them to recover from this attack.”

شبکهٔ اسرائیلی «کانال ۱۲» بهنقل از دونالد ترامپ گزارش داد رئیسجمهوری آمریکا گفته است چند سناریو برای پایان رویارویی با جمهوری اسلامی وجود دارد و این عملیات میتواند کوتاه یا طولانی باشد.
ترامپ در گفتوگوی اختصاصی با این شبکه گفت: «میتوانم این را طولانی کنم و همهچیز را در دست بگیرم، یا ظرف چند روز آن را تمام کنم و به ایرانیها بگویم چند سال دیگر اگر دوباره شروع کردید، میبینمتان.»
او مدعی شد تهران بارها به توافق نزدیک شد و سپس عقبنشینی کرد و همین موضوع به او نشان داد «آنها واقعاً نمیخواهند به توافق برسند». ترامپ همچنین گفت هنگام آمادهکردن سخنرانی، از تیم خود خواسته فهرست حملات جمهوری اسلامی در ۲۵ سال گذشته را تهیه کنند و افزود: «دیدم هر ماه کاری بد انجام دادهاند، چیزی را منفجر کردهاند و کسی را کشتهاند.»
رئیسجمهوری آمریکا تأکید کرد اگر ایالات متحده در ماه ژوئن به ایران حمله نکرده بود، «الان سلاح هستهای داشتند».
او دربارهٔ گفتوگو با بنیامین نتانیاهو نیز گفت: «ما روی یک موج هستیم.»
ترامپ در پایان گفت صرفنظر از اینکه درگیری چگونه پایان یابد، ایران برای بازسازی خود با دشواری جدی روبهرو خواهد شد و افزود: «در هر صورت چند سال طول میکشد تا از این حمله بازیابی شوند.»
