Iranian media reports that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the deceased leader of the Islamic Republic, "is in perfect health."
The Mehr News Agency wrote that Mojtaba Khamenei "is currently addressing the issues of the martyrs' families, managing affairs, providing consultations, and reviewing important national matters."
Iranian media announced yesterday that Mansoureh Khajesteh-Baqerzadeh, the wife of Ali Khamenei, who had been in a coma three days after the bombing, has passed away. In that attack, Zahra Haddad Adel, the wife of Mojtaba Khamenei, a daughter and a son-in-law of Ali Khamenei, and his grandchild were also killed. Mojtaba is the second son of Ali Khamenei. His name has been mentioned as a potential successor to his father in recent years.

خبرگزاری مهر نوشت که مجتبی خامنهای «هم اکنون رسیدگی به مسائل شهدای خانواده، تمشیت امور، مشاوره و بررسی امور مهم کشور را دنبال می کند.»
رسانههای ایران دیروز اعلام کردند که منصوره خجسته باقرزاده، همسر علی خامنهای که سه روز پس از بمباران در کما بود، درگذشته است.
در آن حمله زهرا حداد عادل، همسر مجتبی خامنهای، یک دختر و یک داماد علی خامنهای و نوهاش هم کشته شدند.
مجتبی، فرزند دوم علی خامنهای است. نام او به عنوان جانشین پدرش در سالهای اخیر مطرح بوده است.
