Qalibaf, referring to Pakistan's role in mediation, added: "We were in a ceasefire that you mediated, and the U.S. breached the agreement and imposed a naval blockade, and now it seeks to lift it."

The Donald Trump administration announced that immigration policies to the United States are changing.

In a fundamental shift in U.S. immigration policies, the government announced that foreigners seeking permanent residency or a green card must leave U.S. soil and apply through a U.S. consulate or embassy.

Zach Caller, a spokesperson for the U.S. immigration office, stated that this policy "reduces the need to locate and deport" those whose residency applications have been denied.

On the other hand, immigration lawyers and aid groups say that this change will likely lead to "further separation of families" and that victims of human trafficking will be forced to "return to the dangerous countries they fled from."

This policy change is the latest action by Mr. Trump to restrict immigration to the U.S.

The newspaper "New York Post" reported, citing informed sources, that Ivanka Trump, the 44-year-old daughter of Donald Trump, has become the target of a complex assassination plot by a terrorist trained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, motivated by revenge for the killing of Qassem Soleimani.

According to the report, the suspect, a 32-year-old Iraqi national named "Mohammad Baqir Saad Dawood Al-Saadi," who was recently arrested, had vowed to kill the President of the United States' daughter to "set Trump's house on fire." Intelligence sources have stated that Al-Saadi even had the architectural plans and details of the $24 million mansion of Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner in Florida, and had previously threatened in Arabic on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that "neither the palaces nor the U.S. Secret Service" could protect them, and that revenge was only a matter of time.

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced that Al-Saadi is considered a high-ranking figure in Iranian-affiliated terrorist circles and Kata'ib Hezbollah in Iraq, and was arrested in Turkey on May 15 and extradited to the U.S. He faces serious charges in the United States related to orchestrating and executing 18 attacks and assassination attempts across Europe and America; a case that includes a bombing at a bank in Amsterdam, a knife attack on two Jewish citizens in London, gunfire at the U.S. consulate building in Toronto, and arson at Jewish temples in Belgium and the Netherlands.

This suspect, who considered himself akin to Qassem Soleimani due to his affiliation, underwent special military and intelligence training by the Revolutionary Guard in Tehran after Soleimani was killed in a U.S. drone strike six years ago in Baghdad, and he also maintained close ties with his successor, General Ismail Qaani, to finance his terrorist networks.

Leaked information shows that despite his prominent role in terrorist networks, Al-Saadi was very active on social media platforms such as "Snapchat" and "X," sharing images of his military consultations with Qassem Soleimani.

He easily traveled to various countries and connected with terrorist groups by establishing a religious travel agency and exploiting an "Iraqi service passport," which allowed him to travel without security checks and obtain visas easily.

Elizabeth Tsurkov, a researcher at the "Newlines" Institute who herself was held captive by Kata'ib Hezbollah for 903 days, confirmed that Al-Saadi's relationships with Soleimani and Qaani created a significant opportunity for Iraqi militia groups. Al-Saadi, who was traveling to Russia at the time of his arrest in Turkey, is currently being held in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, alongside other high-profile prisoners.

CBS reported that the U.S. is preparing for a new round of military strikes against Iran while diplomatic efforts continue.

According to CBS News, sources directly involved in the planning say that the Trump administration was preparing for new strikes on Friday, although a final decision had not been made by Friday evening.

Mr. Trump announced in a social media message that "government matters" would prevent him from attending his son Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding on Saturday. He was supposed to spend the weekend at his golf resort in New Jersey but is now returning to the White House.

Several sources have also indicated that some members of the U.S. military and intelligence community have canceled their holiday plans; a move made in anticipation of potential new strikes.

According to these sources, U.S. defense and intelligence officials are updating the list of forces on standby at overseas bases; this comes as part of an effort to reduce the U.S. military presence in the region amid concerns about a possible Iranian response.

According to Axios, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, met with his senior national security team at the White House on Friday to discuss various scenarios in the event of failed negotiations and the potential for new attacks against Iran.

In this sensitive meeting, attended by key officials including J.D. Vance, the Vice President, Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense, and John Ratcliffe, the CIA Director, Trump was briefed on the latest status of diplomacy.

Serious signs of a change in the President's weekend plans, including the cancellation of a trip to his Bedminster golf club, his return to Washington, and even his absence from his son Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding, indicate an emergency situation at the White House. Sources close to Trump say he is frustrated with the slow pace of negotiations and is leaning towards military options, although no definitive decision has been made to resume war.

"Fox News": Tulsi Gabbard has resigned from her position as the Director of National Intelligence of the United States.
    AlArabiya_Fa
    Trump's post, machine translation:
Unfortunately, Tulsi Gabbard, after performing very well, will leave the government on June 30. Her amazing husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer, and she rightly wants to be by his side and help him recover while they face this difficult battle together. I have no doubt that he will be better than ever soon.

Tulsi has done an outstanding job, and we will miss her. Her very respected principal deputy at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Aaron Lucas, will serve as the acting Director of National Intelligence.

    President Donald J. Trump
    realDonaldTrump

On the other hand, Reuters reported, citing a knowledgeable source, that she claimed the White House had "pressured" Ms. Gabbard to resign.

Previously, there had been disagreements between the President of the United States and his National Security Director, particularly regarding Iran. Donald Trump had mentioned in April that, in his view, Tulsi Gabbard had a "softer stance" on dismantling Iran's nuclear ambitions.

More than a year ago, on March 25, 2021, Ms. Gabbard told Congress that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon.

The Director of National Intelligence, who was present at a Senate hearing to present the annual report of U.S. intelligence agencies alongside the CIA Director and the FBI Director, emphasized that based on the assessment of intelligence agencies, Ali Khamenei, the then-leader of the Islamic Republic, had not reconsidered the suspension of Iran's nuclear weapons program, which he had ordered in 2003.

However, Ms. Gabbard later changed her position on this issue.

Tulsi Gabbard, who has had a tumultuous political career, was previously a member of the Democratic Party and a representative from Hawaii in the House of Representatives before joining the Republican Party and entering Donald Trump's second administration.

Seven years ago, when she was preparing to compete as a Democratic candidate in the presidential election, she stated that if she won, she would return the United States to the nuclear agreement with Iran.

At that time, Ms. Gabbard warned in an interview with Fox News that the United States was on the brink of war with Iran.

Tulsi Gabbard is not the first and only senior security or military official in Donald Trump's administration to resign or be forced to resign.

In the last days of 2021, Joseph Kent, the then-director of the National Security Agency's Counterterrorism Center, who was directly appointed by Donald Trump and worked under Tulsi Gabbard, resigned in open opposition to the war with Iran.

News from a month and a half ago:
    Trump intended to fire Gabbard
According to Axios, Donald Trump had gone to the brink of firing Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, but a last-minute intervention by his longtime close advisor Roger Stone prevented this from happening.
The reason for Trump's anger dates back to Gabbard's recent testimony in Congress, where she unexpectedly did not fully support war with Iran.
According to informed sources, Trump was extremely dissatisfied that Gabbard had stated in her remarks that Iran's nuclear program had been "destroyed" before the war began (a position that undermined Trump's justifications for the attack).
Additionally, the protest resignation of Joe Kent, Gabbard's assistant who called the war unnecessary, added fuel to Trump's anger.
While Trump was polling his advisors for a replacement for Gabbard and questioning her loyalty, Roger Stone defended her in a phone call. A source close to Axios said, "Roger made the deal and saved Tulsi."
Stone later confirmed on social media X: "Fortunately, I acted in time." With this mediation, Gabbard has currently been retained in her position.

🔴 The Abdolrahman Boroumand Foundation has recorded 655 executions in 2026 so far, with 34 of them carried out since the beginning of May. The actual figures are likely much higher. The Islamic Republic carries out these executions behind closed doors while the country's internet has been cut off for 83 days. Since March 1, 2025, the government has severely suppressed the voices of prisoners, families, and eyewitnesses by cutting off communication, making independent oversight of human rights conditions particularly difficult.

🔸 Since the judiciary always officially announces only a small portion of its death sentences, the internet shutdown has severely limited current data to Iranian state sources. Therefore, the decrease in recorded statistics only reflects an information blackout, not a reduction in killings.

Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, spoke on the sidelines of the NATO meeting about ongoing negotiations with the Islamic Republic, stating that Washington is awaiting the results of the ongoing talks, which he noted have shown signs of progress. He added, "We are waiting for the results of these discussions, which have signs of progress. I don't want to exaggerate; there has been limited movement, and that is positive, but the fundamental principles have not changed."

The U.S. Secretary of State emphasized that the Iranian government should never acquire nuclear weapons, stating, "To achieve this goal, we must address the issue of enrichment and also the topic of high-enriched uranium, and in addition, we must consider the Strait of Hormuz."
    @VahidOOnLine
On Friday, May 21, Marco Rubio stated on the sidelines of the NATO meeting that the Islamic Republic is seeking to establish a dedicated system for collecting tolls in an international waterway and is trying to convince Oman to join this mechanism. Rubio stressed that this action is "unacceptable." He added, "No country in the world should accept such a thing. I do not know of any country that supports it other than Iran."

Rubio, referring to diplomatic movements at the United Nations, mentioned that a resolution proposed by Bahrain has been introduced in the Security Council, in which the U.S. has played an active role and, according to him, has the highest number of co-sponsors in the history of the Security Council. He warned that several countries are considering vetoing this resolution and added, "That would be regrettable." The U.S. Secretary of State emphasized that Washington is working to achieve a global consensus to prevent the implementation of such a plan, stating, "We need to see if the United Nations is still effective or not. We are trying to reach a conclusion through this path."

He clarified that if toll collection in the Strait of Hormuz is implemented, it may be repeated in other important waterways around the world, adding, "This is unacceptable and cannot happen." Rubio highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stating that this waterway is vital for the countries present at the meeting and for other countries, especially in the Indo-Pacific region. He concluded with optimism about the results of the NATO meeting, saying that this meeting will pave the way for a leaders' summit in about six weeks and added that there is much work ahead until then.
    @VahidOOnLine
After the NATO meeting in Sweden, Marco Rubio discussed negotiations with Tehran, saying, "We all would like to see an agreement with Iran that keeps the straits open and that Iran abandons its nuclear ambitions." He added, "This is something we all hope for and will continue to strive for, and as I speak to you now, work and negotiations in this regard are ongoing."

The U.S. Secretary of State noted that there should also be an "alternative plan," stating that the alternative plan should be implemented if the Iranian government refuses to open the Strait of Hormuz. He said, "So we need to think about it from now on. I raised this issue today. I saw a lot of positive reactions. However, we still do not have anything to officially announce regarding a specific action that is being taken." Regarding the alternative plan in case the Islamic Republic refuses to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, he added, "I don't know if this can necessarily be a NATO mission or not, but certainly NATO member countries can participate in it."

He also reported that there have been "advancements" in negotiations with Tehran to end the U.S. and Israeli war against Iran, and according to him, "there are good signs," but Washington is facing "a system that is somewhat fractured and divided."

The U.S. Secretary of State noted that senior officials from Pakistan will travel to Tehran today as mediators in the negotiations, stating: "The President of the United States prefers that a good agreement is reached... I am not here to say that such an event will definitely happen, but I am here to say that we will do everything we can to see if we can reach an agreement or not."

He also added that if a good agreement is not reached, Donald Trump "has clearly stated that he has other options."

Previously, reports had emerged about the visit of Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, to Tehran on Thursday. Iranian official news agencies published this news a day after the Pakistani Interior Minister entered Tehran for the second time this week.

Anwar Gargash, senior advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, says that some of Iran's behaviors in recent years have led to a decrease in trust among the countries of the Gulf region.

In a message on the social media platform X, he wrote that the countries in the region have faced "bullying and threatening behaviors" from Iran for many years; behaviors that have become part of the political reality of the Gulf.

Mr. Gargash also emphasized that the gap between Iran's aggressive positions and its claims of friendship has led to a loss of trust and credibility, stating, "And today, after Iran's brutal aggression, the Iranian government is trying to establish a new reality that has emerged from a clear military defeat; however, attempts to control the Strait of Hormuz or infringe upon the maritime sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates are nothing but fantasies and unattainable wishes."
