CENTCOM, the United States Central Command, announced that since the start of the maritime blockade until Friday, May 6, it has prevented the entry or exit of more than 70 oil tankers from Iranian ports.

NBC News reported, citing two American officials, that Trump's sudden reversal on the "Freedom Project" in the Strait of Hormuz occurred after Gulf allies were caught off guard by this decision, and Saudi Arabia suspended the possibility of the U.S. military using its bases and airspace to carry out this operation.

According to these officials, Trump surprised Gulf allies on Sunday afternoon by announcing the "Freedom Project" on social media, which caused dissatisfaction among Saudi leaders. In response, Saudi Arabia informed the U.S. that it would not allow the U.S. military to fly from Prince Sultan Air Base in southeastern Riyadh or to cross Saudi airspace in support of this effort.

The two American officials stated that a phone call between Trump and Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, did not resolve the disagreement, and the U.S. President was forced to halt the "Freedom Project" to restore U.S. military access to this vital airspace.

به گفته این مقام‌ها، ترامپ بعدازظهر یکشنبه با اعلام «پروژه آزادی» در شبکه‌های اجتماعی، متحدان خلیج فارس را غافلگیر کرد و این اقدام موجب نارضایتی رهبران عربستان سعودی شد. در واکنش، عربستان سعودی به آمریکا اطلاع داد که اجازه نخواهد داد ارتش آمریکا از پایگاه هوایی پرنس سلطان در جنوب‌شرقی ریاض پرواز کند یا برای پشتیبانی از این تلاش از حریم هوایی عربستان عبور کند.
این دو مقام آمریکایی گفتند تماس تلفنی میان ترامپ و محمد بن سلمان، ولیعهد عربستان سعودی، این اختلاف را حل نکرد و رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا ناچار شد «پروژه آزادی» را متوقف کند تا دسترسی ارتش آمریکا به این حریم هوایی حیاتی را احیا کند.
دیگر متحدان نزدیک خلیج فارس نیز غافلگیر شدند؛ رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا پس از آغاز این اقدام با رهبران قطر گفت‌وگو کرد.

We are near Bagh-Feyz; at 2:40, an explosion sound came, it wasn't very close but was loud; it didn't seem like a collision sound;

The Israeli army targeted the commander of the elite "Radwan" unit of Hezbollah in an airstrike on the Dahieh area, southern suburbs of Beirut, on Wednesday afternoon.
