🔸The leader of the Islamic Republic, coinciding with the beginning of the "Fajr Decade" on the eve of the anniversary of the February 1979 Revolution, addressed a group of his supporters, stating: "Americans should know that if they start a war, this time it will be a regional war." According to Iranian news agencies, he added: "We are not the initiators and do not want to attack any country, but the Iranian nation will strike hard against anyone who attacks and harasses." According to state television, Ali Khamenei said: "The talk of war and discussions about planes and ships is not new," and "in the past, Americans have repeatedly threatened in their statements, saying all options are on the table, including the option of war." The leader of the Islamic Republic, referring to Donald Trump, the President of the United States, added: "Now this gentleman also constantly claims we brought a fleet, and... the Iranian nation should not be frightened by such things; the people of Iran are not influenced by these threats." He further described the protests in December in Iran as a "sedition," stating that "the recent sedition was similar to a coup, which was, of course, suppressed." The leader explained his description by saying, "They attacked centers that govern the country. This was similar to a coup."
🔸Abbas Araghchi told CNN that in the event of war, Iran is prepared, and the scope of the conflict may extend beyond borders. He added that the missile program is non-negotiable and that discussions should focus solely on the issue of nuclear weapons. Araghchi stated, "We have lost our trust in the U.S. as a negotiating partner." The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic added, "I think Trump will make the right decision."
🔸On Sunday, February 1, the newspaper Etemad announced that Erfan Soltani, a detained protester, "was released on a bail of two billion tomans." Agence France-Presse also reported this news, citing the lawyer of the protester. A few days after the protests of January 7 and 8, the U.S. State Department wrote on X that 26-year-old Erfan Soltani had been sentenced to death and that the Islamic Republic intends to carry out this sentence.
🔸On Sunday, February 1, the Iranian presidency published the names of 2,986 individuals whom it claims were killed in the protests of January. This list includes the names, fathers' names, and the last six digits of the national ID numbers of the individuals. Institutions and officials of the Islamic Republic deny the role of military and security forces in the deaths of protesters, claiming they were killed by "terrorists" supported by foreign countries.
🔸The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday, citing American officials, that U.S. airstrikes against Iran are not on the agenda in the near future, as the Pentagon is deploying additional air defense systems to better protect Israel, Arab allies, and American forces in the event of retaliatory actions by Iran and the possibility of a prolonged conflict.
🔸After speculation about the visit of Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Qatari Foreign Minister, to Tehran, the Qatari Foreign Ministry confirmed this visit in a statement, stating that the Foreign Minister met with Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic.
🔸The United States has sanctioned several Iranian officials, including the Minister of Interior and the head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization. The U.S. Treasury Department announced in a statement that among those sanctioned is Eskandar Momeni, Iran's Minister of Interior, because he "oversees the Islamic Republic's Law Enforcement Force, a key institution responsible for the deaths of thousands of peaceful protesters." The statement noted that Majid Khademi, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, is also on the U.S. sanctions list, emphasizing that this organization "is the backbone of the nationwide campaign of Iran's security forces to carry out widespread violence, arbitrary arrests, and intimidation; a campaign aimed at breaking the wave of protests in Iran." Majid Khademi was appointed to this position following the death of Mohammad Kazemi, the former head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, during Israeli attacks in the 12-day war. The U.S. Treasury also sanctioned Babak Zanjani as a businessman involved in circumventing sanctions. Additionally, two currency exchange offices registered in the UK have been linked to him and placed on the sanctions list. The Treasury stated that these two exchange offices had processed funds related to the IRGC.

به گزارش خبرگزاریهای ایران، او افزود: «ما شروعکننده نیستیم و نمیخواهیم به کشوری حمله کنیم، اما ملت ایران در مقابل کسی که حمله و اذیت کند، مشت محکمی به او خواهد زد.»
به گزارش صداوسیما علی خامنهای گفت: «اینکه گاهی صحبت جنگ میکنند و از هواپیما و ناو و اینها صحبت میکنند، حرف جدیدی نیست» و «در گذشته هم آمریکاییها بارها در حرفهایشان تهدید میکردند و میگفتند همه گزینهها روی میز است؛ از جمله گزینه جنگ.»
رهبر جمهوری اسلامی با اشاره به دونالد ترامپ، رئیسجمهور آمریکا، افزود: «حالا این آقا هم مرتبا ادعا میکند ناو آوردیم و ... ملت ایران را از این چیزها نباید ترساند، مردم ایران با این تهدیدات، تحت تأثیر قرار نمیگیرند.»
او در ادامه سخنانش اعتراضات دیماه در ایران را «فتنه» توصیف کرد و گفت که «فتنه اخیر شبیه کودتا بود، البته کودتا سرکوب شد.»
رهبر جمهوری اسلامی در توضیح توصیف خود گفت که «آنها به مراکزی حمله کردند که کشور را اداره میکند. این شبیه کودتا بود.»

🔸عباس عراقچی به سیانان گفت در صورت آغاز جنگ، ایران آماده است و دامنه درگیری ممکن است فراتر از مرزها برود. او افزود برنامه موشکی قابل مذاکره نیست و گفتوگوها باید صرفا بر موضوع سلاح هستهای متمرکز باشد. عراقچی گفت «اعتماد خود را به آمریکا بهعنوان شریک مذاکره از دست دادهایم».

🔸روزنامه اعتماد روز یکشنبه ۱۲ بهمن اعلام کرد که عرفان سلطانی، معترض بازداشتشده، «با وثیقه دو میلیارد تومانی آزاد شد». خبرگزاری فرانسه نیز به نقل از وکیل این معترض همین خبر را اعلام کرده است.
چند روز بعد از اعتراضات ۱۸ و ۱۹ دی، وزارت خارجه آمریکا در شبکه ایکس نوشته بود که عرفان سلطانی ۲۶ ساله به اعدام محکوم شده و جمهوری اسلامی قصد دارد این حکم را اجرا کند.

🔸دفتر ریاستجمهوری ایران روز یکشنبه ۱۲ بهمن اسامی دوهزار و ۹۸۶ نفر از کسانی را که میگوید در اعتراضهای دیماه کشته شدهاند، منتشر کرد. در این فهرست نام، نام پدر و شش رقم آخر شماره ملی افراد ذکر شده است.
نهادها و مقامهای جمهوری اسلامی نقش نیروهای نظامی و امنیتی در کشته شدن معترضان را انکار میکنند و مدعی هستند که آنها توسط «تروریستها» که مورد حمایت کشورهای خارجی بودند، کشته شدند.

🔸پس از گمانهزنیهایی درباره سفر محمد بن عبدالرحمن آل ثانی، وزیر خارجه قطر، به تهران، وزارت خارجه قطر در بیانیهای این سفر را تایید کرد و گفت وزیر خارجه با علی لاریجانی، دبیر شورای عالی امنیت ملی جمهوری اسلامی، دیدار کرده است.

🔸ایالات متحده چندین مقام ایرانی از جمله وزیر کشور و رئیس سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران را تحریم کرده است.
وزارت خزانهداری آمریکا در بیانیهای اعلام کرد که در میان افراد تحریمشده، اسکندر مومنی، وزیر کشور ایران قرار دارد، چراکه «بر نیروی انتظامی جمهوری اسلامی، نهادی کلیدی که مسئول مرگ هزاران معترض مسالمتجو بوده، نظارت دارد.»
در این بیانیه آمده که مجید خادمی، رئیس سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران نیز در فهرست تحریمهای ایالات متحده قرار گرفته و تصریح شده این سازمان «ستون فقرات کارزار سراسری نیروهای امنیتی ایران برای اعمال خشونت گسترده، بازداشتهای خودسرانه و ارعاب بوده است؛ کارزاری که با هدف درهم شکستن موج اعتراضات در ایران انجام شده است.»
مجید خادمی در پی کشته شدن محمد کاظمی، رئیس سابق سازمان اطلاعات سپاه، در حملات اسرائیل طی جنگ ۱۲ روزه به این سمت منصوب شد.
وزارت خزانهداری آمریکا همچنین بابک زنجانی را به عنوان تاجر و فردی که در دور زدن تحریمها نقش داشته، تحریم کرده است. همچنین دو صرافی ثبتشده در بریتانیا به او منسوب شده و در فهرست تحریمها قرار گرفته است.
وزارت خزانهداری میگوید این دو صرافی وجوهی مرتبط با سپاه پاسداران را پردازش کرده بودند.
