America has never been neutral in the great moral battles of history. The liberation of Europe after World War II, large parts of Asia freed from imperialism and totalitarianism, the liberation of Kuwait from occupation, standing against genocide in Bosnia and Kosovo. Yes, there have been mistakes. But Iran is different. Here are people who openly seek the end of a repressive regime, under fire, in front of the eyes of the world.

You have a historic opportunity. If you give hope to the people of Iran and then legitimize their executioners through deals and hesitation, history will not forgive you. Look at Lafayette Park. America knows what happens when people are freed, and it knows what happens when allies step forward at a pivotal moment.

According to a Forbes report, the Islamic Republic has, for the first time, blocked access to Starlink satellite internet using military jammers; an action that, as a new "kill switch," has extended the scope of communication disruptions beyond domestic internet and targeted the alternative communication options of protesters and anti-government activists. Reports indicate that this unprecedented action has seriously changed the equations for emergency internet access.

The report states that despite the operation of tens of thousands of Starlink receivers inside Iran, disruptions have also affected satellite communications, initially disrupting about 30% of Starlink's inbound and outbound traffic, which increased to over 80% within a few hours.

"The Times of Israel" also reported that the number of Starlink receivers in Iran has significantly increased compared to previous outages, although the Iranian government has never deemed this service legal and has declared its maintenance and use illegal. مسعود پزشکیان در نخستین موضع‌گیری آشکار درباره اعتراض‌های گسترده در ایران، معترضان را «آشوبگر» و «تروریست» خواند و خواستار برخورد «قاطع» نیروهای امنیتی با آنها شد.

رئیس جمهور اسلامی ایران در یک گفت‌وگوی تلویزیونی که روز یکشنبه ۲۱ دی پخش شد، همچنین مدعی شد معترضان که حضورشان از پنجشنبه هفته گذشته در شهرهای مختلف پررنگ‌تر شده است، از آمریکا و اسرائیل «دستور» می‌گیرند و افزود که «دشمن تروریست‌های آموزش‌دیده را به کشور وارد کرده است».

مشابه روایتی که مقام‌های دیگر و رسانه‌های وابسته به حکومت ایران طی سه روز گذشته دنبال می‌کنند و به معترضان «تروریست» لقب می‌دهند.
