Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Foreign Minister, announced that no sanctions against Tehran will be lifted as long as the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked by the forces of the Islamic Republic.

In an interview with the "RTL" network, he stated: "We have imposed significant sanctions on Iran ourselves. However, as long as the Strait of Hormuz is blocked, the lifting of any sanctions is inconceivable." Barrot added: "This strait cannot be closed, subjected to tariffs, or used as a tool for pressure and extortion."

He also emphasized that France should not find itself in a position where it has to bear the costs of wars it did not initiate. According to him, Europe must reduce its dependence on oil, hydrocarbons, and digital technologies to become less involved in crises and conflicts in which it is not directly a party.

به گفته او، اروپا باید وابستگی خود به نفت، هیدروکربن‌ها و فناوری‌های دیجیتال را کاهش دهد تا کمتر درگیر بحران‌ها و درگیری‌هایی شود که مستقیماً طرف آن نیست.

According to these officials, Trump surprised Gulf allies on Sunday afternoon by announcing the "Freedom Project" on social media, which caused dissatisfaction among Saudi leaders. Following reports about an imminent agreement between the U.S. and Iran to end the war, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran is still reviewing the U.S. proposal.

Ismail Baqai told the ISNA news agency on Wednesday: "The U.S. plan and proposal are still under review by Iran, and Iran will convey its viewpoints to the Pakistani side after concluding its assessment."

Iran's emergency services announced on Wednesday morning, May 5, that the death toll from the extensive fire at the Arghavan commercial complex in Shahriar, Tehran, has reached 8, with 40 others injured in the incident.
According to the head of the emergency services in northwest Tehran, most of the injured had "superficial wounds that were treated on-site, and only one person was transferred to the hospital."

مقام‌های امدادی ایران صبح روز چهارشنبه، ۱۶ اردیبهشت شمار کشته‌های آتش‌سوزی گسترده در مجتمع تجاری ارغوان در شهریار تهران را ۸ نفر اعلام کردند و گفتند ۴۰ نفر هم در این حادثه مصدوم شدند.
به گفته رئیس اورژانس شمال غرب تهران اکثر مصدومان این حادثه «زخم‌های سطحی داشتند که در محل درمان شدند و فقط یک نفر به بیمارستان منتقل شد.»
دلیل این آتش‌سوزی اعلام نشده اما رسانه‌های ایران گزارش داده بودند که دادستان شهریار دستور شناسایی و دستگیری مقصرین این حادثه و بازداشت سازنده ملک را صادر کرده است.
گفته شده که این مجتمع تجاری بیش از ۲۵۰ واحد تجاری از جمله چند باشگاه ورزشی و ۵۰ واحد اداری داشت.
