    The head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization rejected the limitations on uranium enrichment in Iran, stating, "Restricting the enrichment program is merely a wish that will go to the grave."

    According to the ISNA news agency, Mohammad Eslami emphasized on Thursday, April 20, during a ceremony held for the fortieth day after the death of Ali Khamenei in Tehran, that "no law or individual" can stop the enrichment program.

    These remarks come as negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan, are set to take place tomorrow, Friday. The U.S. has declared the cessation of enrichment as one of the conditions for an agreement to end the war, while in contrast, the Fars news agency, close to the IRGC, states that one of the ten points of the Iranian government for an agreement is "the acceptance of Iran's right to enrichment by the U.S. and negotiations regarding the level of enrichment."

    In addition to the issue of enrichment, the inclusion of Lebanon in the two-week ceasefire is another point of contention ahead of the Islamabad negotiations, which, due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, has left the prospects for the talks shrouded in uncertainty.
