From the machine translation Q&A section of Donald Trump's press conference

    Question:
There are images suggesting that a U.S. missile attack, possibly with a Tomahawk missile, has destroyed that Iranian girls' school. Do the Americans, does the United States, accept any responsibility for that attack?
    Trump:
Well, I haven't seen it. But I must say that the Tomahawk, which is one of the most powerful weapons, is also used by other countries, and you know it has been sold to them. Whether it's Iran, which also has some Tomahawks — although they wish they had more — or another country, just because a Tomahawk has been used doesn't prove anything special by itself. The Tomahawk is a relatively common weapon. It is sold to other countries as well. But this matter is currently under investigation. Yes, go ahead.

    Question:
Mr. President, you just implied that Iran somehow got a Tomahawk and bombed its own elementary school on the first day of the war. But you are the only one in your administration saying such a thing. Even your Secretary of Defense, when he was on your plane on Saturday standing behind you, did not say anything like that in response to this question. Why are you the only one saying this?
    Trump:
Because I really don't know enough about it yet. I think I was told that this matter is under investigation. But as you know, the Tomahawk is used by others as well. Many other countries have Tomahawks; they buy them from us. But whatever the final report shows, I am willing to accept that report.

According to a report from BBC World, citing video analysis and expert opinions, the missile that struck near an elementary school in the city of Minab in southern Iran was likely an American "Tomahawk" cruise missile targeting a Revolutionary Guard base near the school. Based on this media's analysis, the probable target of the missile in this video was a clinic that Iranian media identified as belonging to the Navy of the Revolutionary Guards. This clinic is about 200 meters away from the school.

According to BBC, the video showing the moment of the missile impact was first published by the Iranian state media, namely the Mehr News Agency. The BBC's news verification section, known as "BBC Verify," has confirmed the authenticity of this video.

According to the report, the released video shows a missile moments before it strikes a base belonging to the Revolutionary Guards next to the "Shajareh Tayebeh" elementary school in Minab. However, the report emphasizes that the missile seen in the video does not show a direct hit on the school building and, in fact, its impact was recorded with another building in the same military complex.

From the machine translation Q&A section of Donald Trump's press conference

    Question:
Thank you, Mr. President. Regarding Iran, you described this as a "limited action" and said it would be over soon. Do you mean it will be over this week? Or in a few days?
    Trump:
No. But I think it will be soon. Very soon. Everything they had is gone, including their leadership. In fact, two levels of leadership have been eliminated, and as it turns out, even more than that. But two levels of leadership are gone. Most people have never even heard the names of the leaders being discussed. So it is clear that this operation has been very powerful and very effective.

    Question:
You said the war, in your own words, is "very complete," but your Secretary of Defense says this is just the beginning. So which one is correct? And how long should Americans prepare for this war to continue?
    Trump:
Well, I think both can be said. It is the beginning; the beginning of building a new country. But they certainly no longer have a navy. They have no air force. They have no air defense. Everything has been blown up. They have no radar. They have no communications, and they have no leadership. Everything is gone. So you can look at that sentence from this angle. We can call this a tremendous success right now, as we leave here; or we can move forward, and we will. But the main danger of that war ended three days ago. We took them down in the first two days.

    ...

    Question:
You previously said that we have already won in many ways, but we have not won enough. What does "enough" mean to you? What is your basis for that?
    Trump:
That they do not start a program to develop nuclear weapons the day after this. That they look at that man and a few other members of the government and say, "Okay, we are not doing this anymore." They were not willing to say that. And when Steve called and told me this, I said, "Okay, then we will take the hard road." But I think the hard road is probably the easy road. When I can practically see that they no longer have any capacity for a long time to develop weapons that could be used against the United States, Israel, or any of our allies. We have great allies in the Middle East, great countries that are our allies and had not gotten involved until they were targeted. One day a report must be made about why he did this? Why did they do this? But if I had not hit them earlier, they were going to attack these countries; they were going to hit our allies first. I believe this based on information and clues that they intended to take over the Middle East. They were looking to seize the Middle East. Now, if the "Midnight Hammer" operation had not been carried out, this was certain, because they would have reached nuclear weapons within weeks. But that operation was carried out and dealt a heavy blow to them. However, look at the number of missiles they were able to buy and build just in the last six months. And those missiles were aimed at various countries. When you see over a thousand missiles fired at a country like the UAE, it is clear that they were looking to dominate the Middle East. We got there first. They got lucky. I tell you, the Middle East and those countries, which are very wealthy countries, are very lucky that I was President, not someone else.

    Question:
Is there a point of disagreement between you and your Vice President regarding the U.S. action in Iran?
    Trump:
I don't think so, no. We are very well coordinated on this issue. I can say he philosophically differed a bit from me. I think he may have had less enthusiasm for entering this topic than I did; but he was also very eager. But I felt this was something we had to do. I did not feel we had another choice. If we did not do this, they would have done it to us. Based on the discussions that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Marco and Pete and everyone involved had, I felt they were ready to hit us before we hit them, and if they had attacked us first, it would have been very bad.

    Question:
You said you are considering taking control of the Strait of Hormuz. Is there a timeline for that?
    Trump:
Yes, I want to keep it open. I want the situation to be good. You know, this issue is not as important to us as it is to China. We are actually helping China and other countries here because they get a large part of their energy from this strait. But look, we have a good relationship with China. It is an honor for me to do this.

The continuation of this post includes excerpts from the content of the above link:
Their missile capability has reached about 10 percent, maybe even less. ... So far, we have hit over 5,000 targets; ... Some of the most important targets have been left for later, if necessary, because if we hit them, their reconstruction will take many years.

These targets relate to electricity production and many other things. Therefore, if we don't have to, we don't want to hit them. But these are the kind of targets that are very easy to hit, but if they are targeted, it will cause a lot of destruction. We are waiting to see what happens and then decide about hitting them. We can destroy all of them in one day, but overall, these attacks have caused a 90 percent decline in various areas.
    ....
Moreover, we have eliminated their leadership twice, maybe three times, and as you know, we want to play a role in this matter.
    ...
We don't want another president to come in who might not be willing to do what I am willing to do for the good of the world and the good of our country, and then face the same situation five or ten years later. So we think we need to put someone in the presidency or at the head of the country who can carry out something peacefully this time.
    ...
To Mr. Witkoff, who is standing right here next to me, they said they essentially want to continue building; in simpler terms, they want to continue building nuclear weapons if we didn't implement the "Midnight Hammer."
    ...
They never negotiated in good faith. They kept saying they wanted to build a nuclear program, they wanted to enrich at levels that were unacceptable. They even rejected an offer for unlimited and free nuclear fuel forever and only for peaceful purposes. There were people who offered them free nuclear fuel. They had no interest in that because they wanted to build nuclear weapons.
    ...
They attacked their neighbors while their neighbors were mostly neutral or at least were not supposed to get involved... When I first heard this, I said no, someone must have made a mistake — but there was no mistake. The UAE saw over a thousand missiles fired at it and almost all of them were intercepted. The very first day I came down the escalator in 2015, I said: "I will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons." And now I am just fulfilling my promise.

Think about it. I made that statement in 2015. There was a threat then, and now the threat has become much larger, but it is no longer a threat; at least not for long. We want it to stay that way. While we continue Operation "Epic Fury," we are also focused on maintaining the flow of energy and oil to the world, and I will not allow a terrorist regime to hold the world hostage and try to stop the supply of oil to the world.

And if Iran wants to do such a thing, it will face a much, much harder blow. I will target those easy targets I mentioned earlier; we will hit them so quickly that they will never be able to recover if they want to play such a game. They better not enter this game. In the long run, the supply of oil will be much safer without the threat of ships, drones, missiles, Iran's nuclear threat, and anything else.

Therefore, the Strait of Hormuz will remain safe. We have many ships from the Navy there. We have the best equipment in the world for inspecting mines. Again, I say, most of their ships are now at the bottom of the sea. But if necessary, we will hit them so hard that for them or anyone who helps them, there will be no possibility of recovering that part of the world.

    Trump's post:
If Iran takes action to stop the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will hit them twenty times harder than they have ever been hit before.
Furthermore, we will eliminate easily destroyable targets that will make rebuilding Iran as a nation nearly impossible – death, fire, and fury will be upon them – but I hope and pray that such a thing does not happen!
This is a gift from the United States to China and all the nations that heavily rely on the Strait of Hormuz.
I hope this gesture is greatly appreciated.

    📍 35.7845, 51.44820

I received various messages from the surroundings that I couldn't figure out which alley it was. For example, this video was sent with a description of Jahromi Alley, which could be the upper alley. They mentioned several explosions. One person wrote:

"The whole building came down. All the windows of the neighboring buildings were shattered, and the parking garage doors were knocked out. A quarter of an hour later, it came again and hit two alleys down (Bahrām) twice in a row. A few minutes later, we had three more explosions that were a bit lower down.
Several corpses were taken out of the building. I don't know whose house it was, but there was always a Hosseiniyeh there. After the explosion, within less than 5 minutes, a lot of people with lasers were checking the building."

    Another person wrote:
"At 12:10 in Ekhtiyariyeh, Tehran, on Bahar Street, someone was assassinated. We inquired with the ambulance, and they said there was one person there who was killed. I think it was an assassination; their next-door neighbor was an elderly woman who was injured."

In later messages, they also say that only one person was killed and that the building did not come down.

▪️ Hello, they hit a government school on 209 street in Mehrshahr and street 202.

23:53 A lot of fighter jets passed over the city of Soltaniyeh, Zanjan, heading towards Tehran, I think.

Currently, a large number of fighter jets are flying over Isfahan at 11:55 PM on Tuesday, March 18. An explosion is expected...

5 minutes past midnight in Qazvin. A terrifying sound of missiles is coming from the sky, a very large number heading towards Tehran.

At 00:10, attacks on Tehran have started.

At 00:12, in Vali Asr neighborhood, the sound of 4 bombs just came.

Now from the direction of Mirdamad, there is a very loud noise. It might have been towards Mosalla. The sound of fighter jets is still present.

Vahid is hitting the west continuously. I'm in Kashani. The house is shaking.

At 12:15 AM on Tuesday, March 19, it is hitting Tehran simultaneously. It is hitting Shahriyar, Pakdasht, and the northwest of Tehran while flying at a low altitude.

Vahid has hit the east again five or six times near Narmak and Majidieh.

Imam Hussein University in the northeast of Tehran was hit five times between 12:10 and 12:16. Everything shook, and the sky lit up.

In Janat Abad Souther, all the windows are shaking.

What are they hitting? A quarter of the sound of fighter jets is coming. Tehran, Mirdamad, Tuesday at 00:10.

We are in the Star Khan area. We heard several loud explosions. 12:15.

Now again, the sound of planes at low altitude and continuous explosions in Tehran and Karaj. Time: 00:15.

Karaj just had an impact right now in the Golshahr - Sepah - Jomhouri area. It was very strange; the sound of fighter jets is all over the sky. Then a lightning-like green light came into the sky, and after a few seconds, the sound of an explosion. I have never seen anything like this before.

Severe explosions in Karaj around Mohammadshahr on March 19 at 00:05 and 00:11. Our electricity went out.

Since midnight on March 19, the sound of fighter jets has been heard in the Ekbatan neighborhood, along with several consecutive explosions at Mehrabad Airport.

Karaj, Gohardasht. Usually, the sound comes from afar, but tonight it’s very bad.

In southern Tehran, over 20 explosion sounds came. For 5-6 seconds, the sky turned red; I don’t know where they hit, but...

The sound of three severe explosions came five minutes ago. We are in Baqer Shahr, and it was very loud.

Just a few minutes ago, near our house in Qeytarieh, it shook twice around 3 AM on Tuesday, March 19. The sound of planes was also coming.

In Karaj, there were four bomb sounds. The fighter jets were flying very low, and their sound was clearly heard.

In the direction of Mirdamad, the windows shook with two very loud explosions.

In the direction of Jordan, there was a lot of terrifying noise with the fighter jets.

Now at 12:10, a loud explosion in the Banafsha neighborhood of Karaj. Our electricity is also out, and the sound of fighter jets is coming.

Since 12:07 AM today, March 19, the sound of fighter jets has been constant, and several places have been bombed. I am lower than Takht-e Tavoos, and every time they hit, there was a very large light coming from the east and west. It’s very unusual compared to previous days.

Around Seyyed Khandan, there are four explosion sounds and the flight of fighter jets now.

It feels like the last night of war; it’s raining down heavily. The battlefield is mine.

Hello from the southern Qeytarieh and Dolat Street; the sound of explosions came close, but I don’t know the exact address.

Around 12:10, the sound of low-altitude fighter jets in the Baghestan area of Karaj. Several explosions with a lot of light towards the southeast, probably the oil depot or that direction. Red and green light! It was the first time I saw green light. Several explosions occurred with intervals of 20 to 30 seconds, and for about 10 minutes, the sound of fighter jets was coming.

Vahid has hit Nazarabad in Alborz again; I don’t know where.

In Mehrshahr, Boulevard Eram and Municipality, 10 minutes ago, the house shook completely.

00:15, I think they hit the Ajoodaniyeh area. The sound was very terrifying, and we jumped out of bed. The sound of passing fighter jets was also clearly heard.

In Mehrshahr, Karaj, the four-lane road was hit very hard. I heard the sound of missiles; it was very close. I don’t know what they hit.

On 30 Meter Street, JI, several terrifying sounds came.

About the green light they say they saw, we also saw it towards Niavaran, but with less intensity. First, the sky got a little bright, then the sound of explosions came.

Very heavy... a large number of fighter jets in the west; I saw three points, all around Mehrabad and Azadi. The sound of fighter jets was the loudest since day one. It seemed like they were flying at a low altitude.

Vahid seems to have hit the airport again because it had a strange light like the last time they hit.

At least 4 to 5 severe explosions around the Ekbatan neighborhood.

In Mehrshahr, Boulevard Municipality at 12:10, a very severe explosion was very close; the house shook violently. The first explosion was very severe; the next two were farther away, but the windows still shook.

I am in the Shahid Iraqi area. It keeps hitting like this. The whole house is shaking.

At 12:30, the sound of planes again. A severe explosion towards Seyyed Khandan.

In Mehrshahr, Boulevard Municipality at 12:10, a very severe explosion was very close; the house shook violently. The first explosion was very severe; the next two were farther away, but the windows still shook.

NBC: Trump Calls Mojtaba Khamenei's Selection as New Leader of the Islamic Republic a "Big Mistake"

The website NBC News reports that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, described Mojtaba Khamenei's selection as the new leader of the Islamic Republic as a "big mistake," stating, "I think they made a big mistake. I don't know if he will last or not."

In another part of the interview, Trump did not rule out the possibility of seizing Iranian oil, but said it is still "too early" to talk about such an action. He added, "People have definitely talked about it."

NBC News also writes that any U.S. action to control part of Iran's oil could put pressure on Washington's relations with China, as about 80% of Iran's crude oil exports go to China.

    Other messages from Karaj:
▪️The IRGC in Nazarebad Karaj was apparently targeted by a drone.

▪️Today, 18 Esfand at around 14:30, a huge explosion was heard from Golshahr, Golzar West Boulevard, where the Imam Hadi Basij base was hit, which was completely destroyed. Several people were dead, and there were a lot of civilians there who were shot at with Kalashnikovs, killing some and causing the rest to flee.

▪️The Jawad al-Aimah base in Mohammadshahr was hit.
This base called me in 1401 during the Mahsa Amini movement, took my commitment, and recorded a video of me expressing regret. They threatened me that if I didn't comply, they would come to my door.
On 18 and 19 Dey, they killed many people in Mohammadshahr, Karaj. My father walked there and said it was completely pulverized. They blocked the street from the beginning of Zibadisht, and cars can't go that way.
The electricity in most of that area has been cut off until just now when the power came back.
    They struck exactly at 14:31.

▪️In Golshahr, Karaj, they hit two Basij bases in our area.
