Donald Trump, the President of the United States, in his latest reaction to the protests in Iran, described the situation in the country as "critical" and stated that protesters have taken control of some cities; cities that, according to him, "no one expected just a few weeks ago."

He added that the U.S. government is "carefully" monitoring developments in Iran and warned: "If they start killing people again, we will take action and target points that will be very painful for them," clarifying that any potential U.S. action would not include "ground forces."

Trump continued by referencing the Obama era, stating that in similar cases there had been "retreat," but described what is currently happening in Iran as "incredible" and "significant." He accused the Iranian government of "mistreating the people" and now "paying the price."

In conclusion, Trump emphasized that Washington is "fully" keeping an eye on the situation in Iran and we must see "what will happen next."

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهو آمریکا در آخرین واکنش خود به اعتراضات در ایران، وضعیت کشور را «بحرانی» توصیف کرد و گفت معترضان کنترل برخی شهرها را در دست گرفته‌اند؛ شهرهایی که به گفته او «تا چند هفته پیش کسی انتظارش را نداشت.»

او افزود دولت آمریکا تحولات ایران را «با دقت» دنبال می‌کند و هشدار داد: «اگر آن‌ها دوباره شروع به کشتن مردم کنند، ما وارد عمل می‌شویم و نقاطی را هدف قرار می‌دهیم که برایشان بسیار دردناک باشد»، با این توضیح که اقدام احتمالی آمریکا شامل «نیروی زمینی» نخواهد بود.

ترامپ در پایان تأکید کرد که واشنگتن «کاملاً» وضعیت ایران را زیر نظر دارد و باید دید «چه پیش خواهد آمد.»
