The American network NBC has reported that in this incident that took place in the "Westwood" neighborhood, at least two people were examined following the event.

The Los Angeles Times quoted the Los Angeles police as saying that one man has been arrested.

Sources from the Los Angeles Police Department told the Los Angeles Times that officials are investigating the possible motive of the driver for this action and referred to some writing on the body of the covered truck. A video from the scene shows a sign on the truck that read: "No king, no regime, no cleric, America: Don't repeat [August 19] 1953."

According to the Los Angeles Times, a regional transportation management center in Los Angeles announced that around 3,000 people had gathered in the Westwood area by 3 PM.

Iranians residing in various cities around the world, including in the U.S., have held gatherings against the Islamic Republic in solidarity with the people of Iran and in support of their anti-government protests inside the country.

روزنامه لس‌آنجلس تایمز به نقل از پلیس لس آنجلس گزارش داد که یک مرد بازداشت شده است.

منابع اداره پلیس لس‌آنجلس به لس‌آنجلس تایمز گفتند که مقامات در حال بررسی انگیزه احتمالی راننده برای این اقدام هستند و به نوعی نوشته روی بدنه کامیونت سرپوشیده اشاره کردند. ویدئویی از صحنه، تابلویی را روی کامیون نشان می‌دهد که نوشته شده بود :«نه شاه، نه رژیم، نه ملا، آمریکا: [۲۸ مرداد] ۱۹۵۳ را تکرار نکن.»

به گزارش لس‌آنجلس تایمز، یک مرکز مدیریت حمل‌و‌نقل منطقه‌ای لس‌آنجلس اعلام کرد که حدود ۳هزار نفر تا ساعت ۳بعدازظهر در تجمع منطقه وست‌وود حاضر شده بودند.

ایرانیان ساکن شهرهای مختلف جهان از جمله در آمریکا، در همبستگی با مردم ایران و در حمایت از اعتراضات ضدحکومتی آن‌ها در داخل کشور، دست به برگزاری تجمعات علیه جمهوری اسلامی زده‌اند.
