Caroline Levitt, White House spokesperson, said that Donald Trump will use military options against the Islamic Republic if necessary and that he is "not afraid" of this.

Levitt stated on Monday in a gathering of reporters: "President Trump has shown that when he deems it necessary, he will use military options and is not afraid of this, and no one knows this better than Iran."

She added: "One of Mr. Trump's characteristics is that he always keeps all options on the table, and airstrikes are one of the many options being considered."

However, Levitt emphasized that "diplomacy is always Trump's first option" and said: "He told you last night that what is publicly heard from the Iranian regime is different from the messages that the U.S. government receives privately."

کارولین لویت، سخنگوی کاخ سفید گفت دونالد ترامپ در صورت لزوم از گزینه نظامی علیه جمهوری اسلامی استفاده خواهد کرد و در این زمینه «هراسی ندارد.»

لویت روز دوشنبه در جمع خبرنگاران گفت: «رئیس‌جمهور ترامپ نشان داده که وقتی لازم بداند از گزینه‌های نظامی استفاده می‌کند و از این موضوع هراسی ندارد و هیچ‌کس بهتر از ایران این را نمی‌داند.»

او افزود: «یکی از ویژگی‌های آقای ترامپ این است که همیشه تمام گزینه‌ها را روی میز نگه می‌دارد و حملات هوایی یکی از گزینه‌های بسیار متعددی است که مطرح است.»

با این حال، لویت تأکید کرد که «دیپلماسی همیشه اولین گزینه ترامپ است» و گفت: «او دیشب به شما گفت آنچه از رژیم ایران به شکل علنی شنیده می‌شود با پیام‌هایی که دولت آمریکا به‌طور خصوصی دریافت می‌کند متفاوت است.»
