NetBlocks, the organization monitoring internet quality worldwide, reported on Monday, January 22, that Iran has been effectively "offline" for 96 hours due to the national uprising of Iranians; a situation that has severely limited reporting and accountability regarding the killing of civilians while protests and demands for change from the people continue.

خبرگزاری تسنیم اعلام کرد دولت آمریکا دامنه‌های بین‌المللی دات‌کام (com.) این رسانه را بسته است. بر اساس گزارش‌های منتشرشده، دسترسی به دامنه دات‌کام تسنیم متوقف شده است.
این خبر روز دوشنبه ۲۲ دی‌ماه در کانال تلگرام خبرگزاری تسنیم منتشر شد. تسنیم این موضوع را در شرایطی مطرح کرده که هم‌زمان با خیزش ملی ایرانیان، دامنه دات‌ای‌آر (.ir) این رسانه همچنان فعال است، اما به دلیل قطع کامل اینترنت، دسترسی به آن نیز با اختلال جدی مواجه شده است.
نت‌بلاکس، نهاد ناظر بر کیفیت اینترنت در جهان، در به‌روزرسانی روز دوشنبه ۲۲ دی اعلام کرد ایران به‌دلیل خیزش ملی ایرانیان، اکنون ۹۶ ساعت است که عملا «خاموش» شده است؛ وضعیتی که گزارش‌دهی و پاسخ‌گویی درباره کشته‌شدن غیرنظامیان را هم‌زمان با ادامه اعتراض‌ها و مطالبه تغییر از سوی مردم، به‌شدت محدود کرده است.
