The news agency "Sky" reported that the British government has begun the process of withdrawing its personnel from the U.S. military base in Qatar.

This action comes as Donald Trump, the President of the United States, recently stated in response to developments in Iran that "help is on the way" and that a "very strong" action would be taken if the Iranian government carries out planned executions. In response, the Islamic Republic has threatened to retaliate against U.S. military bases in the region in the event of a potential attack.

In this context, the United States has also started the withdrawal of some of its forces from the "Al Udeid" airbase in Qatar, which is considered the largest U.S. base in the region.

A spokesperson for the British Ministry of Defense, in response to these reports, stated: "Due to operational security considerations, we do not comment on the details of deployments and bases. The UK always takes necessary precautions to ensure the security and safety of its forces, including the withdrawal of personnel if necessary."
