Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator from the United States, stated in a video of his meeting with Prince Reza Pahlavi that it is the people of Iran who will choose their future leader, expressing hope that such an opportunity will soon be available to them.

In the video, Graham said: "It is the people of Iran who will choose their next leader, and I eagerly await the day when they have that opportunity. But you have really stepped up at this moment and provided a compelling narrative for the suffering people of Iran. I truly believe that help is on the way."

He addressed Donald Trump, the President of the United States, saying: "Thank you for prioritizing the people over the Ayatollahs; you are the first to do so. Thank you for acknowledging the reality that the only way to make Iran great again is for the protesters to prevail over the regime. I believe that day is near."

This American senator also addressed public opinion in the U.S., stating: "This issue matters to us. This regime is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, and its hands are stained with the blood of Americans."

لیندزی گراهام، سناتور جمهوری‌خواه آمریکا، با انتشار ویدیویی از دیدار خود با شاهزاده رضا پهلوی گفت این مردم ایران هستند که رهبر آینده خود را انتخاب خواهند کرد و ابراز امیدواری کرد که به‌زودی چنین فرصتی برای آن‌ها فراهم شود.

گراهام در این ویدیو گفت: «این مردم ایران هستند که رهبر بعدی خود را انتخاب خواهند کرد و من بی‌صبرانه منتظرم روزی را ببینم که چنین فرصتی داشته باشند. اما شما در این مقطع واقعا به‌خوبی ظاهر شده‌اید و روایتی قانع‌کننده برای مردم رنج‌کشیده ایران ارائه داده‌اید. من با تمام وجود باور دارم که کمک در راه است.»

او خطاب به دونالد ترامپ، رییس‌جمهوری آمریکا، افزود: «از شما تشکر می‌کنم که مردم را بر آیت‌الله‌ها ترجیح دادید؛ شما نخستین کسی هستید که چنین کاری کردید. ممنونم که به این واقعیت اذعان کردید که تنها راه دوباره بزرگ کردن ایران این است که معترضان بر حکومت پیروز شوند. من باور دارم آن روز نزدیک است.»

این سناتور آمریکایی همچنین خطاب به افکار عمومی آمریکا گفت: «این موضوع برای ما اهمیت دارد. این حکومت بزرگ‌ترین حامی دولتی تروریسم در جهان است و دستانش به خون آمریکایی‌ها آلوده است.»
