In the latest move within the framework of U.S. pressures against the Iranian government, the U.S. Treasury Department has placed 12 officials and entities of the Islamic Republic on a new sanctions list. Among the added names is Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran;
These sanctions target individuals and entities that, according to the U.S. government, have played a role in suppressing protests and widespread human rights violations or have connections with the security and military networks of the Islamic Republic.
Also included in the sanctions list are several senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including Ne'matollah Bagheri, commander of the IRGC in Lorestan, Mohammad Reza Hashemi Far, police commander of Lorestan, Yadollah Bouali, commander of the Fajr IRGC in Fars, and Azizollah Maleki, police commander of Fars province.
Being placed on this list, which is overseen by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), means that assets are frozen and financial interactions with American citizens and companies are prohibited, and it is part of Washington's efforts to increase pressure on security institutions and officials of the Iranian government due to human rights violations and the suppression of protests.

در تازه‌ترین اقدام در چارچوب فشارهای ایالات متحده علیه حکومت ایران، وزارت خزانه‌داری آمریکا ۱۲ مقام و نهاد جمهوری اسلامی را در فهرست تحریم‌های جدید قرار داد. در میان نام‌های افزوده‌شده، علی لاریجانی، دبیر شورای عالی امنیت ملی ایران، نیز دیده می‌شود؛
این تحریم‌ها افراد و نهادهایی را هدف گرفته که به گفته دولت آمریکا در سرکوب اعتراضات و نقض گسترده حقوق بشر نقش داشته یا با شبکه‌های امنیتی و نظامی جمهوری اسلامی ارتباط دارند.
همچنین در فهرست تحریمی، چند فرمانده ارشد سپاه پاسداران از جمله نعمت‌الله باقری، فرمانده سپاه لرستان، محمدرضا هاشمی‌فر، فرمانده انتظامی لرستان، یدالله بوعلی، فرمانده سپاه فجر فارس و عزیزالله ملکی، فرمانده انتظامی استان فارس قرار گرفته‌اند.
قرار گرفتن در این فهرست، که تحت نظارت دفتر کنترل دارایی‌های خارجی (OFAC) انجام می‌شود، به معنای مسدود شدن دارایی‌ها و ممنوعیت تعامل مالی با شهروندان و شرکت‌های آمریکایی است و بخشی از تلاش واشینگتن برای افزایش فشار بر نهادهای امنیتی و مسئولان حکومت ایران به‌دلیل نقض حقوق بشر و سرکوب اعتراض‌ها عنوان شده است.
