The Wall Street Journal, in its latest report on the U.S. President's decision to attack Iran in support of Iranian protesters, wrote: This attack was postponed due to the lack of sufficient American firepower in the region.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump was informed that an attack on Iran would not guarantee the regime's collapse and would likely lead to a widespread war. For this reason, Trump decided to monitor Iran's behavior towards the protesters before making a decision to attack. Trump's advisors have told him that the Islamic Republic will not fall due to large bombings.

The report adds: The President of the United States has ordered American forces in the region to be better equipped for the moment he commands a major attack on Iran, and he is likely to order the aircraft carrier "Lincoln" to be dispatched to the Middle East, which will arrive in the region's waters within a week.

نشریه وال استریت ژورنال در تازه‌ترین گزارش خود درباره تصمیم رئیس جمهوری آمریکا برای حمله به ایران در حمایت از معترضان ایرانی نوشت: این حمله به‌دلیل عدم وجود نیروی آتش آمریکایی کافی در منطقه به تعویق افتاد.

به نوشته وال استریت ژورنال به ترامپ ابلاغ شد که حمله به ایران فروپاشی نظام را تضمین نمی‌کند و احتمالا جنگ گسترده‌ای را باعث خواهد شد، به همین دلیل ترامپ تصمیم گرفت رفتار ایران با معترضان را پیش از تصمیم‌گیری برای حمله زیرنظر بگیرد.
بنا بر این گزارش مشاوران ترامپ به او گفته‌اند که جمهوری اسلامی با بمباران‌های بزرگ سقوط نمی‌کند.

این گزارش می‌افزاید: رئیس‌جمهوری ایالات متحده به نیروهای آمریکایی در منطقه دستور داده است برای لحظه فرمان او به انجام حمله بزرگ به ایران، بیشتر مجهز شوند و احتمالا دستور خواهد داد ناو هواپیمابر «لینکلن» به خاورمیانه اعزام شود که ظرف یک هفته به آب‌های منطقه خواهد رسید.
