Axios reported, citing two knowledgeable sources, that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, spoke by phone with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, on Thursday night regarding the situation in Iran.

This is the second conversation between Trump and Netanyahu in the past two days concerning Iran. This call took place while the President of the United States is still considering his options—potential military action on one hand and diplomatic negotiations on the other.

According to Axios, during the phone call on Wednesday, Netanyahu asked Trump to postpone military action against Iran to give Israel more time to prepare for a possible response from Iran. Axios reported that this was one of the factors that led Trump to decide to delay the order for an attack on Iran.

آکسیوس به نقل از دو منبع آگاه گزارش داد که دونالد ترامپ،‌ رئیس جمهوری آمریکا پنجشنبه شب تلفنی با بنیامین نتانیاهو، نخست وزیر اسرائیل در مورد وضعیت ایران گفتگو کرد.

این دومین مکالمه بین ترامپ و نتانیاهو در دو روز گذشته در مورد ایران است. این تماس در حالی انجام شد که رئیس جمهوری ایالات متحده همچنان در حال بررسی گزینه‌های خود - حمله نظامی احتمالی از یک سو و مذاکرات دیپلماتیک از سوی دیگر - است.
به گزارش آکسیوس در تماس تلفنی روز چهارشنبه، نتانیاهو از ترامپ خواسته بود که اقدام نظامی علیه ایران را به تعویق بیندازد تا به اسرائیل زمان بیشتری برای آماده شدن برای پاسخ احتمالی ایران بدهد.
به نوشته آکسیوس این یکی از عواملی بوده است که باعث شد ترامپ تصمیم بگیرد دستور حمله به ایران را به تعویق بیندازد.
