Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Tuesday that he has issued "very decisive" orders to ensure that the U.S. "wipes them off the face of the earth" if the Islamic Republic attempts to carry out threats of assassination against him.

In an exclusive interview with the "Katie Pavlich Tonight" program on NewsNation, coinciding with the anniversary of the start of his second presidential term, Trump stated: "If the slightest thing happens, their entire country will explode. I will hit them so hard that it will be unprecedented. But I have issued very strong orders for this."

Trump also criticized former President Joe Biden, saying his administration did not respond decisively enough to the threats from the Islamic Republic. According to Trump, the failure to respond firmly has emboldened Tehran to continue its threats. He added: "A president must defend the president," emphasizing that even if such threats are directed at someone other than the president, his response will be firm and uncompromising.

Trump once again referred to the Islamic Republic's use of transnational threats and intimidation, stating that any practical action from Tehran will be met with a response that carries a heavy and deterrent cost for the Iranian regime.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهوری آمریکا، روز سه‌شنبه گفت در صورت تلاش جمهوری اسلامی برای اجرای تهدیدهای ترور علیه او، دستورهای «بسیار قاطع» صادر کرده است تا ایالات متحده «آنها را از روی زمین محو کند».

ترامپ در گفت‌وگویی اختصاصی با برنامه «کتی پاولیچ امشب» از شبکه نیوزنیشن، همزمان با سالگرد آغاز دوره دوم ریاست‌جمهوری‌اش گفت: «اگر کوچک‌ترین اتفاقی بیفتد، کل کشورشان منفجر خواهد شد. من بدون تردید آن‌قدر شدید به آنها ضربه می‌زنم که سابقه نداشته باشد. اما برای این کار دستورهای بسیار محکمی صادر کرده‌ام.»

ترامپ همچنین با انتقاد از جو بایدن، رئیس‌جمهوری پیشین آمریکا، گفت دولت او در برابر تهدیدهای جمهوری اسلامی واکنشی به اندازه کافی قاطع نشان نداد. به گفته ترامپ، ناتوانی در پاسخ سخت، تهران را در ادامه تهدیدها جسورتر کرده است.
او افزود: «یک رئیس‌جمهور باید از رئیس‌جمهور دفاع کند»، و تاکید کرد حتی اگر چنین تهدیدهایی متوجه فردی غیر از رئیس‌جمهور هم باشد، واکنش او قاطع و بدون اغماض خواهد بود.

ترامپ بار دیگر به استفاده جمهوری اسلامی از تهدید و ارعاب فرامرزی اشاره کرد و گفت هرگونه اقدام عملی از سوی تهران با پاسخی روبه‌رو خواهد شد که هزینه‌ای سنگین و بازدارنده برای حاکمیت ایران در پی دارد.
