Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Thursday during the Davos meeting that Iran wants to negotiate with Washington and the U.S. is also ready for talks. He made these remarks at the inauguration of an institution known as the "Peace Board."

Trump, referring to the U.S. military attacks on Iran's uranium enrichment facilities last year, stated that this action was taken to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He emphasized, "We couldn't allow that to happen."

The U.S. President added, "Iran wants to negotiate, and we will negotiate." Officials of the Islamic Republic have not yet shown any official reaction to these statements.
