♦️ My Sato, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran, warned about the scale of human casualties during the Iranian national uprising, stating that existing estimates could be much higher than initial figures.

He explained that initial assessments indicate the number of fatalities to be around five thousand or more, but information received from doctors inside the country suggests that the number of victims may have reached at least 20,000.

This UN official emphasized that the discrepancy between official statistics and field reports has raised serious concerns about the extent of violence and the actual number of casualties.

♦️ مای ساتو، گزارشگر ویژه سازمان ملل در امور حقوق بشر ایران، نسبت به ابعاد تلفات انسانی در جریان انقلاب ملی ایرانیان هشدار داد و گفت برآوردهای موجود می‌تواند بسیار بالاتر از ارقام اولیه باشد.

او توضیح داد ارزیابی‌های نخست شمار جان‌باختگان را حدود پنج هزار نفر یا بیشتر نشان می‌دهد، اما اطلاعاتی که از پزشکان داخل کشور دریافت شده، بیانگر آن است که تعداد قربانیان ممکن است دست‌کم به ۲۰ هزار نفر رسیده باشد.

این مقام سازمان ملل تاکید کرد اختلاف میان آمارهای رسمی و گزارش‌های میدانی، نگرانی‌های جدی درباره گستردگی خشونت و میزان واقعی تلفات را افزایش داده است.
