In its latest sanctions package against the Islamic Republic, the European Union has imposed sanctions on 15 government and security officials and 6 entities in response to the repression and killing of protesters during the Iranian national uprising, citing "serious human rights violations." This decision was finalized on Thursday during a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
According to this sanctions package, Iskander Momeni, the Minister of Interior, Mohammad Mohammadi Azad, the Attorney General, Majid Faiz Jafari, the head of public security police, Ahmad Ali Faizollah, the commander of the Saberin special forces brigade of the Revolutionary Guards, Iman Afshari, a judge in Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, and Ali Abdollahi Ali Abadi, the commander of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, have been sanctioned due to their direct role in suppressing protests and committing deadly violence against demonstrators.
Continuing this list, the names of Rouhollah Momen Nasab, the head of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice Office in Tehran Province, Haidar Alfti, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards in Ilam Province, Morteza Sheikhi, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards in the city of Azna, Ali Asghar Pourbehest, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards and Basij in Kohgiluyeh County, and Alireza Noshad, the commander of the Law Enforcement Force in Marvdasht, are also included.

اتحادیه اروپا در تازهترین بسته تحریمی خود علیه جمهوری اسلامی، در واکنش به سرکوب و کشتار معترضان در جریان انقلاب ملی ایرانیان، ۱۵ مقام حکومتی و امنیتی و ۶ نهاد را به دلیل «نقض جدی حقوق بشر» تحریم کرد. این تصمیم روز پنجشنبه در نشست وزیران خارجه اتحادیه اروپا نهایی شد.
بر اساس این بسته تحریمی، اسکندر مومنی، وزیر کشور، محمد موحدی آزاد، دادستان کل کشور، مجید فیض جعفری، رییس پلیس امنیت عمومی، احمدعلی فیضاللهی، فرمانده تیپ نیروهای ویژه صابرین سپاه پاسداران، ایمان افشاری، قاضی شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، و علی عبداللهی علیآبادی، فرمانده قرارگاه مرکزی خاتمالانبیاء، به دلیل نقش مستقیم در سرکوب اعتراضات و اعمال خشونت مرگبار علیه معترضان تحریم شدهاند.
در ادامه این فهرست، نام روحالله مومننسب، رییس ستاد امر به معروف و نهی از منکر استان تهران، حیدر الفتی، فرمانده سپاه پاسداران در استان ایلام، مرتضی شیخی، فرمانده سپاه پاسداران در شهرستان ازنا، علیاصغر پوربهشت، فرمانده سپاه و بسیج شهرستان کهگیلویه، و علیرضا نوشاد، فرمانده نیروی انتظامی مرودشت نیز دیده میشود.
