Axios reported, citing two informed sources, that the Islamic Republic has requested to move the negotiations from Istanbul to Oman and to hold them bilaterally, only with the United States. This comes as it was previously planned for representatives from several Arab and Islamic countries to also participate as observers in the negotiations.
At the same time, a regional diplomat told Reuters that the Islamic Republic wants the discussions to focus solely on the nuclear issue and for regional countries not to participate directly.
