🔸Sajjad Salarvand, a legless mountaineer and the fastest runner in the T62 class of the Iranian Paralympic Committee, was arrested by the IRGC Intelligence one day before his departure to the UAE for the Dubai Marathon. According to reports, Salarvand has now been released on bail but must appear in the Tehran Revolutionary Court on Sunday, February 19. This athlete from Doroud, Lorestan, wrote on his Instagram page that he was arrested on charges of "acting against national security, media propaganda, and disturbing public opinion" and had been in Greater Tehran Prison.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, February 5, on the website of "Claudia Tenney," a Republican representative from New York, she, along with "Eric Swalwell," a Democratic representative from California, has introduced a bipartisan proposal titled "Internet Access and Communication Bill Now for Iran." The aim of this bill is to strengthen U.S. efforts to increase Iranian citizens' access to a free internet and support the Iranian people in achieving fundamental human rights and democratic freedoms. According to this report, this bill will for the first time provide a legal framework for the regular updating of the U.S. government's strategy to promote Iranians' access to free internet.

🔸جی‌دی ونس، معاون رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا می‌گوید تصمیم‌گیرندۀ اصلی در ایران، علی خامنه‌ای است و عملی‌نبودن امکان صحبت مستقیم با او، دیپلماسی را به شدت دشوار کرده است.

🔸دو نماینده از احزاب دموکرات و جمهوری‌خواه آمریکا لایحه‌ای را برای حمایت از آزادی دسترسی به اینترنت در ایران ارائه دادند.
بنابر اطلاعیه‌ای که روز چهارشنبه ۱۵ بهمن در وب‌سایت «کلودیا تِنِی»، نماینده جمهوری‌خواه نیویورک، منتشر شد، او به همراه «اریک سوالوِل»، نماینده دموکرات کالیفرنیا، طرحی دوحزبی را با عنوان «لایحه دسترسی و تماس اینترنتی هم‌اینک برای ایران» ارائه کرده‌اند.
هدف از ارائه این لایحه تقویت تلاش‌های ایالات متحده برای افزایش دسترسی شهروندان ایران به شبکه آزاد اینترنت و پشتیبانی از مردم ایران در دستیابی به حقوق بنیادین بشر و آزادی‌های دمکراتیک اعلام شده است.
بر اساس این گزارش، این لایحه برای نخستین بار زمینه‌ٔ قانونی اجرا و به‌روزگردانی منظم راهبرد دولت آمریکا جهت پیشبرد دسترسی ایرانیان به اینترنت آزاد را فراهم می‌کند.
