Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, provided explanations about what happened in Muscat after the negotiations ended on Friday in an interview with state television. He said, "It was a good start and it can have a good continuation." He mentioned, "We had intensive and lengthy discussions from 10 AM to 6 PM, with multiple sessions held indirectly." He added that these sessions were held in several rounds and the viewpoints and concerns of both sides were conveyed, stating, "The continuation of the discussions depends on consulting in the capitals on how to proceed." The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic emphasized that it was a good start and it can have a good continuation.

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی پس از پایان مذاکرات روز جمعه در گفتکو با صدا و سیما، توضیحاتی درباره آنچه در مسقط گذشت، ارائه کرد و گفت: «شروع خوبی بود و می‌تواند ادامه خوبی هم داشته باشد».
او گفت: گفتگوهای فشرده‌ و طولانی داشتیم از ۱۰ صبح تا شش بعدازظهر جلسات متعددی به صورت غیرمستقیم برگزار شد».
او با بیان اینکه این جلسات چندین دور برگزار شد و نقطه نظرات و نگرانی‌های هر دو طرف منتقل شد، اضافه کرد: «ادامه گفتگو‌ها منوط به این است که در پایتخت‌ها مشورت کنیم که چگونه ادامه دهیم».
وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی تاکید کرد که شروع خوبی بود و می‌تواند ادامه خوبی هم داشته باشد.
