U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that reaching an agreement through negotiation would be a wise choice for the Islamic Republic. He emphasized that Donald Trump has clearly communicated his position to Tehran and is seeking to reach an agreement through dialogue.

Hegseth added that the world has witnessed America's capabilities and that "peace through strength and deterrence" has been demonstrated in practice. Referring to the "Midnight Hammer" operation against the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities, he noted that U.S. forces left the region before Iran even realized their presence, stressing that no other country has the capability to carry out such an operation.

پیت هگست، وزیر جنگ آمریکا، گفت دستیابی به توافق از مسیر مذاکره انتخابی عاقلانه برای جمهوری اسلامی خواهد بود.
او تاکید کرد دونالد ترامپ موضع خود را به‌روشنی به تهران اعلام کرده و خواهان رسیدن به توافق از طریق گفت‌وگو است.

هگست افزود جهان توانمندی‌های آمریکا را دیده است و «صلح از مسیر قدرت و بازدارندگی» در عمل به نمایش درآمده است.
او با اشاره به عملیات «چکش نیمه‌شب» علیه تاسیسات هسته‌ای جمهوری اسلامی گفت نیروهای آمریکا پیش از آنکه ایران حتی متوجه حضور آنها شود، از منطقه خارج شدند و تاکید کرد هیچ کشور دیگری توان انجام چنین عملیاتی را ندارد.
