Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, criticized the Munich Security Conference in a message on X, describing it as the "Munich Circus."

He wrote that it is regrettable that the Munich Security Conference, which is usually considered a serious event, has turned into a superficial display regarding Iran, where appearances are prioritized over substance.

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic further criticized Europe, stating that the European Union is confused, and according to him, this confusion stems from its inability to understand the developments inside Iran. Araghchi added that the European Union has lost its geopolitical weight in the region and has been sidelined.

He also claimed that regarding the nuclear negotiations, Europe, which was once one of the main parties in the discussions, now has no role in the current developments, while regional countries are acting more effectively than the European Troika.

In another part of his remarks, Araghchi described the overall trajectory of Europe as "worrisome," stating that what is seen today is, according to him, the paralysis and irrelevance of the European Union in developments related to Iran's nuclear file.

عباس عراقچی، وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی با انتشار پیامی در شبکه ایکس از کنفرانس امنیتی مونیخ انتقاد کرد و آن را «سیرک مونیخ» توصیف کرد.

او نوشت مایه تاسف است که کنفرانس امنیتی مونیخ که معمولا رویدادی جدی تلقی می‌شد، در موضوع ایران به نمایشی سطحی تبدیل شده و در آن ظواهر بر محتوا ترجیح داده می‌شود.

وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی در ادامه از اروپا انتقاد کرد و گفت اتحادیه اروپا دچار سردرگمی شده و به گفته او این سردرگمی ناشی از ناتوانی در درک تحولات داخل ایران است. عراقچی افزود اتحادیه اروپا وزن ژئوپلیتیکی خود را در منطقه از دست داده و به حاشیه رانده شده است.

او همچنین با اشاره به مذاکرات هسته‌ای مدعی شد اروپا که زمانی یکی از طرف‌های اصلی گفتگو بود، اکنون نقشی در تحولات جاری ندارد و در مقابل، کشورهای منطقه موثرتر از تروئیکای اروپایی عمل می‌کنند.

عراقچی در بخش دیگری از سخنانش مسیر کلی اروپا را «نگران‌کننده» خواند و گفت آنچه امروز دیده می‌شود، به گفته او، فلج‌شدگی و بی‌اهمیتی اتحادیه اروپا در تحولات مرتبط با پرونده هسته‌ای ایران است.
