According to information received by Iran International, Abolqasem Salavati, the head of Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, has issued death sentences in "online" sessions for at least 14 detained protesters, including Abolfazl Karimi. Abolfazl reported to his family that he was subjected to forced confessions under beatings and torture.

Sources indicate that Salavati holds virtual court sessions simultaneously for groups of 14 protesters.

Abolfazl Karimi, 35 years old, is a father of a young child and works as a motorcycle courier in eastern Tehran. He was shot in the leg with a pellet while trying to help two injured women on January 6 and was subsequently arrested.

After about a month of detention in "Tehran Grand Prison," he was recently transferred to Qazalhasar Prison along with 50 other protesters.

In a phone call with his family, he stated that he was tortured without receiving treatment for his wounds and, while his eyes were closed, was forced to sign a confession against himself.
