"Somayeh Yousefi," 44 years old, was killed on Thursday, January 18, 1404, during protests in the "Tehranpars" neighborhood of Tehran by gunfire from the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic.

According to a relative of Somayeh Yousefi, a sniper stationed on the roof of one of the high-rise buildings in the area targeted her in the head.

An informed source told IranWire: "Somayeh was taken to Imam Hossein Hospital by her brother. Her body was then transferred from there to Kahrizak. Although family members were aware of all the stages of the body transfer, they still searched for two days in Kahrizak to find her."

Somayeh Yousefi had started practicing taekwondo professionally at the age of 20 and held a black belt. She graduated in accounting and had years of experience working as the head of accounting for an import and export company. An informed source about Somayeh Yousefi said: "She spent her entire life exercising and working. She was very family-oriented."

Somayeh Yousefi's family found her among a multitude of bodies in Kahrizak after two days of searching on January 21, 1404, and buried her in Behesht Zahra.
