Amirhossein Eshghi, 18 years old, and Aryan Eshghi, 14 years old, were two brothers who were both students and were killed during the protests in Tehran in January.
One of their relatives told Radio Farda that a bullet first hit Amirhossein in the waist in front of Police Station 153 [Valiasr Town, Tehran]. When he fell to the ground, no one was allowed to approach him, and two more bullets were shot into his heart and chest.
According to him, Amirhossein was an activist and had participated in the protests in the days prior. On the night of January 7, he had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun, but nonetheless, he went out to the streets again on January 8 and did not return.
Aryan, Amirhossein's younger brother, was also shot in the throat with a live bullet in front of the same police station on January 8. According to his relatives, other protesters had taken him to a clinic, but he passed away a day later.
The bodies of the two brothers have been buried in a two-tier grave in Behesht Zahra.
