JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, stated in an interview about negotiations with the Islamic Republic that Washington has "clear red lines" and emphasized: "We do not want Iran to acquire nuclear weapons." He warned that Iran obtaining a nuclear bomb could lead to the dangerous proliferation of nuclear weapons among other countries.

Vance referred to the U.S. government's approach, saying: "Our preference is to resolve this issue through dialogue and diplomatic negotiation," but at the same time clarified that the President "has kept all options on the table." He added that recent negotiations have been positive in some respects and that the parties have agreed to continue discussions, but according to him, the Islamic Republic is still unwilling to accept the "red lines set" by the U.S.

The Vice President of the United States also emphasized that if diplomacy does not yield results, it is the President who will decide "when diplomacy has reached its natural conclusion."

جی‌دی ونس، معاون رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، در مصاحبه‌ای درباره مذاکرات با جمهوری اسلامی اعلام کرد واشینگتن «خطوط قرمز مشخصی» دارد و تأکید کرد: «نمی‌خواهیم ایران به سلاح هسته‌ای دست پیدا کند.» او هشدار داد دستیابی ایران به بمب هسته‌ای می‌تواند به گسترش خطرناک سلاح‌های هسته‌ای در میان دیگر کشورها منجر شود.

ونس با اشاره به رویکرد دولت آمریکا گفت: «ترجیح ما این است که این موضوع از طریق گفت‌وگو و مذاکره دیپلماتیک حل شود»، اما هم‌زمان تصریح کرد رئیس‌جمهور «همه گزینه‌ها را روی میز نگه داشته است». او افزود مذاکرات اخیر از برخی جهات مثبت بوده و طرف‌ها برای ادامه گفت‌وگوها توافق کرده‌اند، اما به گفته او جمهوری اسلامی هنوز حاضر نیست «خطوط قرمز تعیین‌شده» از سوی آمریکا را بپذیرد.

معاون رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا همچنین تأکید کرد اگر دیپلماسی به نتیجه نرسد، این رئیس‌جمهور است که تصمیم خواهد گرفت «چه زمانی دیپلماسی به پایان طبیعی خود رسیده است».
