The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force has reported the crash of an F-4 fighter jet during a training flight, stating that the pilot of this F-4 has lost his life.
The crash site of this Air Force jet has been announced as Hamadan province.
The Mizan news agency, by publishing a picture of the pilot, has identified him as Brigadier General Pilot Mehdi Firouzmand.
The F-4 fighter typically flies with two pilots. In reports published by media outlets within Iran, it is mentioned that the second pilot of this flight survived the incident.

نیروی هوایی ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران از سقوط یک فروند جنگنده اف۴ این کشور در خلال یک پرواز آموزشی خبر داده و گفته است خلبان این اف۴ جان باخته است.
محل سقوط این جنگنده نیروی هوایی ارتش ایران استان همدان اعلام شده است.
خبرگزاری میزان با انتشار تصویری از خلبان این جنگنده او را سرتیپ دوم خلبان مهدی فیروزمند معرفی کرده است.
جنگنده اف۴ معمولا با دو خلبان پرواز میکند. در خبری که رسانههای داخل ایران منتشر کردهاند آمده خلبان دوم این پرواز از این سانحه جان سالم به در برده است.
