🔸Students from several universities in Iran have gathered for the fifth consecutive day despite a severe security atmosphere. On Wednesday, March 6, gatherings took place at the University of Art in Iran, Pars University of Art and Architecture, Beheshti University, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Shiraz University, and Kharazmi University in Tehran.

🔸The head of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic threatened that following the protests at several universities in the country, the judiciary would intervene, thus "the cost will increase." Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei stated on Wednesday, March 6, that the judiciary had warned the ministers of science and health about the need for "organizing and controlling" student protests, saying: "Our expectation is that if a crime has occurred in the university environment, the relevant authorities should report the cases for appropriate action to the judiciary; otherwise, we will personally intervene as per our legal duty, and naturally, the cost will increase."

🔸The newspaper "Shargh" reported that at least 180 students at universities in Tehran have been summoned to disciplinary committees following recent protests. According to this report, since Tuesday, March 3, at least 180 students have received text messages stating that their presence at recent gatherings was "against educational and disciplinary regulations," and they are not allowed to enter the university until the disciplinary committee meeting is held.

🔸As an Iranian delegation heads to Geneva for the third round of negotiations with the United States, Masoud Pezeshkian stated that there is a "good outlook" for these talks. He added: "We have tried to manage the situation under the guidance of the Supreme Leader to remove the atmosphere of neither war nor peace from the country." Iranian media reported on Wednesday, March 6, that Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, has left for Geneva, Switzerland, at the head of the Iranian delegation for the third round of negotiations with the United States, scheduled for Friday, February 26.

🔸Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, reacted to Donald Trump's remarks in the U.S. Congress, stating: "All options are on the table; both dignified diplomacy and deterrent defense." Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry, wrote on X hours after the annual speech of the U.S. President titled "State of the Union," that Trump's comments about Iran's nuclear program, Iran's intercontinental ballistic missiles, and the number of casualties from the protests in December "are nothing but a repetition of a series of big lies."

🔸The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Islamic Republic's ambassador in The Hague and protested against the seizure and inspection of a Dutch diplomat's suitcase at Tehran's international airport. According to Dutch officials, this suitcase was confiscated upon the diplomat's arrival in Tehran, and the Netherlands considers this action a violation of international rules regarding "diplomatic immunity" and "immunity of diplomatic baggage and cargo." The Netherlands has also demanded the immediate return of the confiscated belongings of this diplomat. In contrast, some media outlets in Iran reported that "unauthorized communication equipment" was found in this suitcase, including satellite phones and equipment related to satellite internet. Dutch officials have denied these claims, stating that even if such allegations were made, the handling of diplomatic luggage should have been done according to diplomatic rules.

🔸The first translator of the Cyrus Charter into Persian has passed away. Abdolmajid Arfaei, a prominent researcher and specialist in ancient languages, died on Wednesday, March 6, after a period of respiratory illness in Tehran. Abdolmajid Arfaei, born on September 1, 1939, in Bandar Abbas, was one of the most important specialists in Akkadian and Elamite languages and one of the last surviving translators of Elamite cuneiform in the world. He was the first Iranian to study this field professionally and spent years studying and translating Elamite texts under Richard Hell's supervision at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago.

🔸Radio Farda has learned that the head of the NHK radio and television network in Japan has been arrested and transferred to Ward 7 of Evin Prison on March 4. Reports indicate that Shinosuke Kawashima was arrested on January 20 following the crackdown on nationwide protests in Iran by security forces, but there is no information available regarding the reason for his arrest. He was seen on the morning of Tuesday, March 5, in the hall of Ward 7 of this prison, where political prisoners are held. A spokesperson for the Japanese government told reporters in Tokyo that a Japanese citizen was arrested in Tehran on January 20 (January 30), but refrained from providing further details on the matter.
