Iraqchi: We have seriously engaged in the elements of an agreement

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic announced after the end of this round of negotiations with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, representatives of the United States, that more than six hours of "indirect" negotiations took place between Tehran and Washington, calling it one of the "most serious" discussions between the parties.

Abbas Iraqchi stated that the Foreign Minister of Oman and the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency were the mediators of the negotiations on Thursday in Geneva. The Iranian Foreign Minister announced that there was "good progress in these negotiations and we have seriously engaged in the elements of an agreement, both in the nuclear field and in the area of sanctions."

He also announced that starting next Monday, the "technical teams" of both sides will begin their work in the city of Vienna at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and regarding the next round of negotiations between Iran and the U.S., he mentioned that it will likely take place in about a week.

عراقچی: خیلی جدی وارد عناصر یک توافق شدیم

وزیر خارجه جمهوری اسلامی بعد از پایان این دور مذاکرات با استیو ویتکاف و جرد کوشنر، نمایندگان ایالات متحده، اعلام کرد بیش از شش ساعت مذاکره «غیرمستقیم» میان تهران و واشینگتن برگزار شد و آن را یکی از «جدی‌ترین» گفت‌وگوها بین طرفین خواند.

عباس عراقچی گفت وزیر خارجه عمان و مدیرکل آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی میانجی‌های مذاکرات روز پنجشنبه در ژنو بودند.
وزیر خارجه ایران اعلام کرد در این مذاکرات «پیشرفت خوبی داشتیم و خیلی جدی وارد عناصر یک توافق شدیم، هم در حوزه هسته‌ای و هم حوزه تحریم‌ها».

او همچنین اعلام کرد از دوشنبه هفته آینده «تیم‌های فنی» طرفین در شهر وین و در مقر آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی کار خود را آغاز می‌کنند و درباره دور بعدی مذاکرات بین ایران و آمریکا گفت که احتمالا حدود یک هفته دیگر برگزار خواهد شد.
