The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported in a confidential document sent to member countries on Friday (March 8 / February 27), which Reuters has seen a copy of, that a quantity of high-purity enriched uranium, close to weapons-grade, is being stored in an underground area of the Isfahan nuclear site.
According to Reuters, this is the first time the IAEA has disclosed where Iran's uranium enriched up to 60% is being kept. To build a nuclear weapon, uranium enriched to 90% is required.
Diplomats say that the entrance to this tunnel complex was targeted in military attacks by the United States and Israel in June, but it appears that "the facility has largely remained intact."

آژانس بینالمللی انرژی اتمی در گزارشی محرمانه که روز جمعه (۸ اسفند/۲۷ فوریه) برای کشورهای عضو ارسال کرده و خبرگزاری رویترز نسخهای از آن را مشاهده کرده، اعلام کرد که مقداری از اورانیوم غنیشده با خلوص بالا، نزدیک به درجه تسلیحاتی، در منطقهای زیرزمینی از سایت هستهای اصفهان نگهداری میشود.
به گزارش رویترز این اولین بار است که آژانس بینالمللی انرژی اتمی اعلام کرده که اورانیوم با غنای تا ۶۰ درصد ایران در کجا نگهداری میشود.
برای ساخت سلاح هستهای اورانیوم با غنای ۹۰ درصد نیاز است.
دیپلماتها میگویند که ورودی این مجموعه تونلی در حملات نظامی ایالات متحده و اسرائیل در ماه ژوئن هدف قرار گرفت، اما به نظر میرسد که «این تأسیسات تا حد زیادی سالم مانده است.»
