Interview with the Foreign Minister of Oman
Bousaidi's Claims About the Negotiations
FaceTheNation
The Foreign Minister of Oman, the mediator in the Iran-U.S. negotiations, states that Iran has agreed never to stockpile its enriched uranium; a proposal that Badr Bousaidi called a "significant achievement" and expressed hope that it would prevent the outbreak of war.

According to the Foreign Minister of Oman, all issues can be resolved "amicably and comprehensively" within three months to reach an agreement.

Mr. Bousaidi told CBS News: "If the ultimate goal is to ensure that Iran can never acquire a nuclear bomb, I think we have solved this problem with these negotiations; achieving a very important progress that has never been achieved before."

He added: "If we can solidify this achievement, an agreement is within reach."

The Foreign Minister of Oman stated that Iran will not be able to stockpile enriched uranium and there will be verification as well. According to him, Iran will also reduce its current stockpiles to "the lowest possible level" so that these materials "can be converted into fuel and this fuel will be irreversible."

Mr. Bousaidi said: "This is completely new and makes the issue of enrichment less significant, as we are now talking about zero stockpiling."
