Iranian officials have reported at least "85 fatalities" from a projectile hitting a girls' school in Minab. Iranian media published videos on March 9 showing the destruction of the Shajareh Tayebeh elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan province, and the stages of debris removal and rescue efforts for those who may be trapped under the rubble.

The prosecutor of Minab told the Mehr news agency that the number of fatalities at the Minab girls' school has increased to "85."

Earlier, Ali Farhadi, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Education, told the IRNA news agency that this school was "targeted by missile attacks" three times today.

فرماندار ویژه میناب می‌گوید «۲۴ دانش‌آموز» مدرسه‌ای در این شهر در جریان حملات آمریکا و اسرائیل کشته شده‌اند.
ساعتی بعد برخی منابع تعداد کشته‌شدگان را ۴۰ نفر اعلام کردند.
پیشتر معاون سیاسی، امنیتی و اجتماعی استاندار هرمزگان گفته بود که یک مدرسه دخترانه «هدف مستقیم» حمله قرار گرفته و در این حمله پنج دانش‌آموز کشته شده‌اند.

دادستان میناب به خبرگزاری مهر گفته است که شمار کشته‌شدگان مدرسه دخترانه میناب به «۸۵ نفر» افزایش یافته است.
 
پیشتر علی فرهادی، سخنگوی وزارت آموزش و پرورش ایران به خبرگزاری ایرنا گفته بود که این مدرسه امروز «در سه نوبت هدف حمله موشکی» قرار گرفته است.
