The United States Central Command, CENTCOM, announced the start of joint military operations with Israel against Iran on Saturday, stating that American forces successfully repelled "hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks."

In its statement, CENTCOM added that there were no reports of American casualties and that "the damage to U.S. facilities has been minimal and has not affected operations." CENTCOM also announced that following an order from Donald Trump, the President of the United States, the military began attacking Iranian targets at 9:45 AM Tehran time "to dismantle the security structure of the Iranian regime and prioritized locations that posed an immediate threat."

These targets included command and control centers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military air bases. The United States Central Command stated that for the first time in attacks on Iran, "low-cost disposable attack drones" were used. The Pentagon had previously named the operation launched against Iran "Epic Fury."

فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده، سنتکام، با اشاره به آغاز عملیات نظامی مشترک با اسرائیل علیه ایران در روز شنبه اعلام کرد که نیروهای آمریکایی با موفقیت «صدها حمله موشکی و پهپادی ایران» را دفع کرده است.

سنتکام در بیانیه خود اضافه کرده که هیچ گزارشی از کشته یا مجروح شدن نیروهای آمریکایی وجود ندارد و «خسارت واردشده به تأسیسات آمریکا حداقلی بوده و بر عملیات تأثیری نگذاشته است».
سنتکام همچنین اعلام کرد در پی دستور دونالد ترامپ، رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا، ارتش این کشور از ساعت ۹:۴۵ صبح به وقت تهران حمله به اهداف ایرانی را آغاز کردند «تا ساختار امنیتی رژیم ایران را برچینند و مکان‌هایی را که تهدیدی فوری محسوب می‌شدند در اولویت قرار دادند.»
این اهداف شامل مراکز فرماندهی و کنترل سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی، توانمندی‌های پدافند هوایی ایران، محل‌های پرتاب موشک و پهپاد، و پایگاه‌های هوایی نظامی بوده است.
فرماندهی مرکزی ایالات متحده گفته است که در حملات به ایران برای نخستین بار از «پهپادهای تهاجمی یک‌بارمصرف کم‌هزینه» استفاده شد.
پنتاگون پیشتر نام عملیات آغاز شده علیه ایران را «خشم حماسی» اعلام کرده بود.
