Donald Trump, in an interview with CBS News, stated that despite the recent attacks by the U.S. and Israel on the Islamic Republic, there is still a possibility of reaching a diplomatic solution, and this path has now become "much easier than a day ago."

Trump referred to these attacks, which he claimed led to the death of Ali Khamenei, saying: "Because they are under severe pressure," and described the operation as "a great day for America and a great day for the world."

The U.S. President noted the Islamic Republic's reaction, stating that a retaliatory action was expected, but its intensity was "less than we anticipated." He added: "We thought it would be double that."

According to reports, around forty officials of the Islamic Republic were killed during these attacks. So far, there have been no reports of American casualties or injuries.

Trump emphasized that he is ready to cooperate with the U.S. Congress and refrained from using the term "war" to describe this conflict. He stated that his main focus remains on eliminating threats against the United States.

دونالد ترامپ در گفت‌وگو با سی بی اس نیوز گفت که با وجود حملات اخیر آمریکا و اسرائیل به جمهوری اسلامی، همچنان امکان دستیابی به یک راه‌حل دیپلماتیک وجود دارد و این مسیر اکنون «بسیار آسان‌تر از یک روز پیش» شده است.

ترامپ با اشاره به این حملات که به گفته او به کشته شدن علی خامنه‌ای انجامیده، گفت: «چون آن‌ها به‌شدت تحت فشار قرار گرفته‌اند»، و این عملیات را «روزی بزرگ برای آمریکا و روزی بزرگ برای جهان» توصیف کرد.

رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا با اشاره به واکنش جمهوری اسلامی گفت که انتظار اقدام تلافی‌جویانه وجود داشت، اما شدت آن «کمتر از آن چیزی بود که تصور می‌کردیم». او افزود: «فکر می‌کردیم دو برابر این باشد.»

بر اساس گزارش‌ها، حدود چهل مقام جمهوری اسلامی در جریان این حملات کشته شده‌اند. همچنین تاکنون هیچ گزارشی درباره کشته شدن یا زخمی شدن نیروهای آمریکایی منتشر نشده است.

ترامپ تاکید کرد که آماده همکاری با کنگره آمریکا است و از به‌کار بردن واژه «جنگ» برای توصیف این درگیری خودداری کرد. او گفت تمرکز اصلی‌اش همچنان بر از میان برداشتن تهدیدها علیه ایالات متحده قرار دارد.
