He also described the slogan "America First," based on the importance of U.S. interests and national interests, as "Trump's self-made slogan" and said he has turned "America First" into "Israel First." The Wall Street Journal has reported that Ali Larijani is currently seeking to negotiate with the Trump administration through intermediaries in Oman.

♦️علی لاریجانی، دبیر شورای عالی امنیت ملی جمهوری اسلامی که پس از کشته شدن خامنه‌ای و دیگر مقامات و فرماندهان نظام، و به حاشیه رانده شدن پزشکیان بیش از دیگر مقامات باقی‌مانده نظام صحبت می‌کند، در واکنش به سخنان ترامپ درباره ادامه‌دار بودن اقدام نظامی آمریکا گفت که «ترامپ با آرزوی واهی» منطقه را به آشوب کشانده است. او همچنین شعار «اول آمریکا» مبتنی بر اهمیت منافع آمریکا و منافع ملی این کشور را «شعار خود ساخته ترامپ» توصیف کرد و گفت او «اول آمریکا» را به «اول اسرائیل» تبدیل کرده است.
وال استریت ژورنال گزارش داده است که علی لاریجانی همین حالا از طریق میانجی‌های عمان به دنبال مذاکره با دولت ترامپ است.
