Ali Larijani says we will not negotiate with the U.S.

🔸 Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic, states that "Iran will not negotiate with the United States."

🔸 Mr. Larijani, in a post on X, rejected media reports indicating that officials of the Islamic Republic are attempting to resume negotiations with the U.S. government.

🔸 In recent weeks, a diplomatic delegation from the Islamic Republic, led by Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, held three rounds of "indirect" negotiations with Steve Biegun, the U.S. President's Special Representative, and Jared Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law and advisor, mediated by the Foreign Minister of Oman. Another round of negotiations was scheduled for this week; however, following sudden attacks by Israel and the U.S. on the Islamic Republic and the death of Ali Khamenei, the talks were canceled.

🔸 Despite this, Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday evening that if the attacks by Israel and the U.S. on Iran cease, negotiations could be resumed, emphasizing that U.S. officials "know how to contact him."

🔸 On the other hand, U.S. President Donald Trump also claimed in an interview with The Atlantic last night that "the Iranians are willing to talk," stating that he has agreed to negotiate based on the wishes of the Iranians.

🔸 The Wall Street Journal also reported that Ali Larijani has presented his plans for renewed negotiations with the U.S. to Omani officials.
