Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, told reporters regarding reports of a possible U.S. attack on a school in Iran: "If this attack was carried out by us, the Department of Defense will investigate it, and I refer you to them for answers."
Rubio stated, "If such an event has occurred, it would be very catastrophic, but I cannot speak about the details because I have no information. I have no details on this matter, but what is clear is that the United States does not intentionally target a school."
Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, was also questioned about this attack, which Iranian state media attributed to Israel and the U.S. He mentioned that he has seen various reports, including that the Revolutionary Guard targeted this school.
According to Iranian media reports, on March 1, an elementary and preschool in the city of Minab in Hormozgan province was targeted in an airstrike. According to the latest statistics published in Iranian media, over 160 people have been killed in this attack.

روبیو گفت: «اگر چنین اتفاقی رخ داده باشد، بسیار فاجعه‌بار خواهد بود، اما من نمی‌توانم درباره جزئیات آن صحبت کنم، چون اطلاعاتی در اختیار ندارم. جزئیاتی درباره این موضوع ندارم، اما آنچه روشن است این است که ایالات متحده عمدا یک مدرسه را هدف قرار نمی‌دهد.»
دنی دانون، سفیر اسرائیل در سازمان ملل متحد، نیز درباره این حمله که رسانه‌های دولتی ایران آن را به اسرائیل و آمریکا نسبت دادند، مورد پرسش قرار گرفت. او گفت گزارش‌های متفاوتی دیده است، از جمله اینکه سپاه پاسداران این مدرسه را هدف قرار داده است.
طبق گزارش‌ رسانه‌های ایران، ۹ اسفند یک دبستان و پیش‌دبستانی در شهر میناب استان هرمزگان هدف حمله هوایی قرار گرفت. طبق آخرین آمار منتشر شده در رسانه‌های ایران، بیش از ۱۶۰ نفر در این حمله کشته شده‌اند.
