Steve Witkoff, Trump's special envoy, regarding negotiations with the Islamic Republic before the start of military operations by the U.S. and Israel, said that by the end of the second round of negotiations with the Islamic Republic, it was "very, very clear" that reaching an agreement was impossible, but we were willing to negotiate one last time and give one final opportunity in the third round of talks.
Witkoff told Fox that the Islamic Republic wanted us to report positively to Trump, but there was nothing positive to report.
In this interview, Witkoff stated that the Islamic Republic had emphasized during the negotiations that it would continue its enrichment activities.
He also mentioned that they possess 460 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, which could be used to build 11 nuclear bombs. This comes as officials from the Islamic Republic claimed after the 12-day war that they did not know where the 460-kilogram stockpile of enriched uranium was.
