The Saudi Defense Minister, on Saturday, March 6, after missile and drone attacks on the country, urged Iran to avoid a "miscalculation."

Khalid bin Salman announced early Saturday that several missile attacks on the "Prince Sultan" airbase, where American forces are stationed, and several drone attacks on the "Shaybah" oil field had been intercepted and destroyed. Additionally, another drone was shot down in eastern Riyadh.

The Saudi Defense Minister added that such actions undermine the security and stability of the region and expressed hope that Iran would "show wisdom and avoid miscalculations."

Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, also spoke with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia on Friday, stating that his country is ready to assist in defending Saudi Arabia and announced that fighter jets, helicopters, and another British destroyer have been dispatched to the region in this regard.

The UK will send four more Typhoon fighter jets to Qatar to strengthen "defensive operations" and will also deploy the air defense destroyer "HMS Dragon," although it is not expected to set sail until next week.

وزیر دفاع عربستان سعودی، روز شنبه ۱۶ اسفند و پس از حملات موشکی و پهپادی به این کشور، از ایران خواست از «اشتباه محاسباتی» پرهیز کند.

خالد بن سلمان بامداد شنبه اعلام کرد چند حمله موشکی به پایگاه هوایی «پرنس سلطان» محل استقرار نیروهای آمریکایی و چند حمله پهپادی به میدان نفتی «شِیبه» را رهگیری و منهدم کرده است. همچنین یک پهپاد دیگر نیز در شرق ریاض ساقط شده است.

وزیر دفاع عربستان افزود این گونه اقدام‌ها امنیت و ثبات منطقه را تضعیف می‌کند و ابراز امیدواری کرد ایران «خردمندی نشان دهد و از اشتباه محاسباتی پرهیز کند».

کی‌یر استارمر، نخست‌وزیر بریتانیا هم روز جمعه در تماس تلفنی با ولیعهد عربستان سعودی گفت کشورش آماده است در دفاع از عربستان به این پادشاهی کمک کند و خبر داد که در این ارتباط، جت‌های جنگنده، بالگردها و یک ناوشکن دیگر بریتانیایی نیز به منطقه اعزام شده‌اند.

بریتانیا برای تقویت «عملیات دفاعی» چهار جنگندهٔ تایفون دیگر به قطر اعزام می‌کند و همچنین ناوشکن پدافند هوایی «اچ‌ام‌اس دراگون» را مستقر خواهد کرد، هرچند انتظار نمی‌رود این ناو تا هفتهٔ آینده حرکت کند.
