Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, apologized to neighboring countries in a video message on Saturday for the attacks by the Islamic Republic on their territories over the past week. He claimed that following the death of Ali Khamenei, the former leader of the Islamic Republic, and senior commanders, some military forces acted "on their own initiative."

He further clarified that during the meeting of the interim leadership council, it was decided to halt attacks on neighboring countries unless there is an attack on Iran from those countries.

Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the Islamic Republic "will not surrender unconditionally."

He said, "The idea that we would want to surrender unconditionally is a dream they should take to their graves." According to him, the Islamic Republic considers itself committed to "international laws" and "humanitarian frameworks," and other countries must also recognize "the rights of all countries, including Iran."

Pezeshkian added that the Islamic Republic does not intend to attack neighboring countries, stating: "We do not intend to invade neighboring countries. As I have said many times, they are our brothers, and we must establish peace and tranquility together in the region."

He also announced that a decision was made in the "interim leadership council" stating that armed forces should not attack neighboring countries unless they are attacked by them. Pezeshkian said: "This decision has been communicated to the armed forces that from now on they should not attack neighboring countries or launch missiles unless those countries ask them to attack us."

مسعود پزشکیان رئیس‌جمهور ایران روز شنبه طی پیامی ویدئویی از همسایه‌ها به خاطر حملات یک هفته گذشته جمهوری اسلامی به خاک آنها عذرخواهی کرد و مدعی شد با کشته شدن علی خامنه‌ای رهبر سابق جمهوری اسلامی و فرماندهان ارشد، برخی نیروهای نظامی «آتش به اختیار» عمل کرده‌اند.

او در ادامه تصریح کرد در اجلاس شورای موقت رهبری تصمیم گرفته شد که حملات به کشورهای همسایه متوقف شود، مگر اینکه از مبدأ آن کشورها حمله‌ای به ایران انجام شود.

مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس جمهوری اسلامی، در اظهاراتی گفته است جمهوری اسلامی «بدون قید و شرط تسلیم نخواهد شد».

او گفت: «اینکه ما بدون قید و شرط بخواهیم تسلیم شویم، چنین خوابی را باید با خودشان به گور ببرند.» به گفته او، جمهوری اسلامی خود را پایبند «قوانین بین‌المللی» و «چارچوب‌های انسانی» می‌داند و دیگر کشورها نیز باید «حق و حقوق همه کشورها و طبیعتا ایران» را به رسمیت بشناسند.

پزشکیان در ادامه اضافه کرد جمهوری اسلامی قصد حمله به کشورهای منطقه را ندارد و گفت: «ما قصد تجاوز به کشورهای همسایه نداریم. همانگونه که بارها گفته‌ام آنها برادران ما هستند و باید با هم در منطقه صلح و آرامش برقرار کنیم.»

او همچنین اعلام کرد تصمیمی در «شورای موقت رهبری» گرفته شده است که بر اساس آن نیروهای مسلح نباید به کشورهای همسایه حمله کنند مگر در صورت حمله از سوی آنها. پزشکیان گفت: «این تصمیم به نیروهای مسلح ابلاغ شده که از این به بعد نباید به کشورهای همسایه حمله کنند یا موشک بزنند، مگر اینکه از آن کشورها بخواهند به ما حمله کنند.»
