Mohseni Ejei Rejects Pezeshkian's Statements

Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, a member of the interim leadership council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced that the country's attacks on targets in some regional countries, which he claims have been "taken over by the enemy," will continue.

This position of Mohseni Ejei contradicts the earlier statements of Masoud Pezeshkian, the President and another member of the interim leadership council, regarding the cessation of attacks on neighboring countries.

On Saturday, March 6, Mr. Mohseni Ejei claimed that evidence from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic indicates that the geography of some regional countries is "clearly and covertly in the hands of the enemy" and that these areas have been used to attack Iran.

He emphasized that "intense attacks on these targets will continue" and added, "This strategy is currently being implemented, and the government and other pillars of the system are in unanimous agreement on this matter."

These statements come at a time when Masoud Pezeshkian, the President and another member of the interim leadership council, had earlier issued a video message apologizing to neighboring countries and stated that the armed forces of Iran would no longer attack these countries.

محسنی اژه‌ای اظهارات پزشکیان را رد کرد

غلامحسین محسنی اژه‌ای، عضو شورای موقت رهبری جمهوری اسلامی ایران، اعلام کرد حملات این کشور به اهدافی در برخی کشورهای منطقه که به‌گفته او «در اختیار دشمن» قرار گرفته‌اند، ادامه خواهد یافت.

این موضع محسنی اژه‌ای در تضاد با سخنان ساعاتی پیش مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهور و دیگر عضو شورای موقت رهبری، دربارهٔ توقف حمله به کشورهای همسایه است.

آقای محسنی اژه‌ای روز شنبه ۱۶ اسفند مدعی شد شواهد نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی نشان می‌دهد جغرافیای برخی کشورهای منطقه «آشکارا و نهان در اختیار دشمن است» و از آن مناطق برای حمله به ایران استفاده شده است.

او تأکید کرد که «حملات شدید به این اهداف ادامه خواهد داشت» و افزود «این راهبرد هم‌اکنون در حال اجراست و دولت و دیگر ارکان نظام در این زمینه متفق‌القول هستند».

این اظهارات در حالی است که مسعود پزشکیان، رئیس‌جمهور و دیگر عضو شورای موقت رهبری، ساعاتی پیش در پیامی ویدئویی از کشورهای همسایه عذرخواهی کرد و گفت نیروهای مسلح ایران دیگر به این کشورها حمله نخواهند کرد.
