Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Wednesday that potential future leaders of the Republic "are killed one after another," adding that "anyone who wants to become a leader will ultimately be killed."

سناتور جمهوری‌خواه آمریکا لیندزی گراهام در پیامی گفت که «پسر آن آیت‌الله جنایتکار درگذشته، تغییری نیست که برای آینده منطقه و مردم ایران ما به دنبال آن هستیم» و گفت که مجتبی خامنه‌ای در حالی «زندگی مرفهی» داشته است که به گفته او مردم ایران با مشکلات و رنج روبه‌رو بوده‌اند.
لیندزی گراهام مجتبی خامنه‌ای را یک «نازی مذهبی» خواند و گفت معتقد است که «فقط مسئله زمان است» تا مجتبی خامنه‌ای نیز به سرنوشتی مشابه پدرش دچار شود.

دونالد ترامپ، رئیس جمهوری آمریکا روز چهارشنبه گفت رهبران احتمالی بعدی جمهوری «یکی پس از دیگری کشته می‌شوند.» و ادامه داد «هر کسی که بخواهد رهبر شود، در نهایت کشته می‌شود.»
