He also warned that the continuation of this war could have "consequences" for the economy of Germany, the largest economy in Europe. Merz emphasized that the German government is working to increase its independence in energy policy.
At the same time, "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan," the President of Turkey, once again warned Tehran to refrain from taking "provocative steps."

«فریدریش مرتس»، صدراعظم آلمان، خواستار تغییر سریع حکومت در ایران شد و گفت: «هرچه زودتر رژیم ملاها متوقف شود، این جنگ زودتر پایان خواهد یافت.»
مرتس افزود: «ایران مرکز تروریسم بین‌المللی است و این مرکز باید تعطیل شود و آمریکایی‌ها و اسرائیلی‌ها این کار را به روش خود انجام می‌دهند.»
او همچنین هشدار داد که ادامه این جنگ می‌تواند «تبعاتی» برای اقتصاد آلمان، بزرگ‌ترین اقتصاد اروپا، داشته باشد. مرتس تأکید کرد که دولت آلمان تلاش می‌کند استقلال خود در حوزه سیاست‌های انرژی را افزایش دهد.
هم‌زمان «رجب طیب اردوغان»، رییس‌ جمهوری ترکیه، بار دیگر به تهران هشدار داد که از برداشتن «گام‌های تحریک‌آمیز» خودداری کند.
