The International Energy Agency (IEA) announced on Wednesday that member countries of this organization will release 400 million barrels of oil from their strategic reserves to the market in an unprecedented move to alleviate the pressures arising from the war in the Middle East. Fatih Birol, the executive director of the agency, stated in a press release: "The challenges facing the oil market are unprecedented in scale; therefore, I am very pleased that the member countries of the agency have responded to this situation with a collective emergency action of unprecedented dimensions."

Al Jazeera reported on several drone attacks on oil storage facilities in the port of Salalah, Oman. Local officials say they are dealing with a large fire. Videos of this fire have been shared on social media. In response to attacks by the U.S. and Israel on this country, Iran continues to target energy production and storage sites across the Persian Gulf.

آژانس بینالمللی انرژی (IEA) روز چهارشنبه ۲۰ اعلام کرد که کشورهای عضو این نهاد، در اقدامی بیسابقه برای کاهش فشارهای ناشی از جنگ در خاورمیانه، ۴۰۰ میلیون بشکه نفت از ذخایر استراتژیک خود را روانه بازار خواهند کرد.
فاتح بیرول، مدیر اجرایی این آژانس، در بیانیهای گفت: «چالشهایی که بازار نفت با آن روبروست، از نظر مقیاس در تاریخ بیسابقه است؛ از اینرو بسیار خرسندم که کشورهای عضو آژانس با یک اقدام اضطراریِ جمعی در ابعادی بیسابقه، به این وضعیت واکنش نشان دادهاند.»
